Yea! the nicer MUAs looked super busy (obviously picking up the slack of the other 6 MUAs *coughcough*) so I didn't want to be in their way. I would love to be a secret shopper for them! That would be so fun haha just hanging around different MAC stores, and little would they know we'd write them up!

abbyquack - I'm so glad to hear that I'm not alone in my psycho hotel behavior. How fun that your hubby travels with you!!

I haven't picked up any of these sets yet...what's wrong with me?!? I really liked the Smoke and Mirrors and Sorceress palettes and planned on buying both of them (or at least one!) and now I don't think I'll get either. I wanted the pink lip bag, and now I'll probably be passing on that too. Maybe I'm getting sick??

In better news, I found a Shimpagne solution!! My Sister in Law (who isn't really into MAC) picked up a Fun in the Sun Kit today...because she liked the box (lol!). She called me up to ask "what is this mineralized skinfinish thing?" and I explained. She didn't get it, didn't like it, and didn't want anything to do with it (!!!!!!!!!!!!) but loved the eyeshadow and blush and thought the brush was "too cute". So I suggested that I could take Shimpagne off her hands and pay for part of the kit...you know, so she wouldn't have to return anything (

) and she was overjoyed with my idea. My Shimpagne will be here in a few days, it's a win win!

I hope everyone is loving their purchases. International MAC addicts hang in there! It won't be long now...the time will fly.

Thanks girls! Well I took your advice, and ordered the Shimpagne kit online, but when I got to see all the goodies in person today, I ended up with something I didn't even think I'd like! The Fab-racadara Bronze Face Kit! It wasn't as Bronze-y or as dark as I would have thought, I loved it! So now I'll have both!

Is it just me? Or does anyone else think that the Smokey Eye Palette this year has too many Brown-y colors (instead of black/grey)? So I passed on that one.

I am so excited I can't sleep. Our Nordies is having a huge beauty event this weekend and I have an appointment with the MAC counter tomorrow. I get an hour's worth of one on one time with an Impact Team artist and a trainer. I also get to pick up my preorder.

I think I would like to learn a purple smokey eye with the Sorceress palette. What do you all think?

i ended up with hocus focus face palette which i loveee! i keep flipping and sliding it open and admiring. i really love the packaging as it is shinyyy metal <3

i also picked up the mage palette (sorc sry, i play too many games lol.) and its GORGEOUS i tell you!! i think this is the most popular palette.

the palette seems smaller and lesser product than last year, but if you read the back, it will say total net weight = 5.3g or 0.19 US OZ which is the same as last year's which is also 53g or 0.19 US OZ. either the pan this year is thicker and more compact or the eyeshadows are denser. just saying =)

my counter and polo park didnt have all the lippies or blushes O___O and i wasnt impressed with the quality of the brushes in the kits. though i'd love it for applications at school.. i was really hoping it would be better than what it is... so i'd like to go back and check out the rest of the collection! i really want a blush >_<
