^I still have all mine from previous years

I think they last awhile. THey are worth it if you like the colors, because that's the same price as 2 full size lipglasses and you get a variety of colours. I've been really happy with the ones I have bought in the previous seasons.

It IS dangerous. Girrrrll there are sooo many MAC stores in NYC, not to mention counters as well, MAC overload! LOL

I got the Frisky Business lipgloss set, minus one ( gave to my little cousin)
They don't really look to cute on me, so I'm gonna add them to my super tiny freelance kit

Okay, I take back what I said about the gloss sets not grabbing me - the soft colors look SO nice.

I bought all 3 pigment sets. I went in there to exchange a blush palette for a eyeshadow, I was given the wrong one yesterday. Sadly, they didn't have any, so I bought the sets instead!
I wasn't able to swatch at the store. When I got home I did, I didn't like the warm set on my skin. I am more than likely giving that to a friend for a late bday present or sell it.
The Cool & Smokey are awesome. Great colors this year!
I am just afraid these will go unused like my other charms, but I guess I should really clear out what I don't use now....ugh....

I bought all 3 tonight, love them but I agree im loving the Cool & Smokey,
i'm on the fence about the high jinks but will likely keep them.

I love the boxes I stuck my holiday 08 brushes in the holes it
makes a funky brush holder, although not the most practical.
(the thinner ones kept falling out)

^Good idea about the boxes as brush holders... I used the red round holiday boxes from last years sets for my mascaras and eye liners for awhile.
I ended up buying the Smokey eye pigments and didn't even let myself look at anything else LOL. I told my great MA about Specktra too so hopefully he signs up. He's awesome!

Is reflect transparent teal in the cool pigment set safe for the eyes? one of the MA at my MAC said I can not use it on my eyes, but I saw a youtube video where it was applied directly onto the eyes before.

I picked up Models Misbehaving & Frisky Business. So far I've only tried Gitane... LOVE. If the rest are just as good, I may go pick up the other set.

My lips are really pigmented, so glosses never show up the way they're supposed to. I got full pigmentation with one swipe. I'm in love.

OMG I'm mad I was gonna go back and buy a pigment set 2moro, but I just spent $112 ON A CAB tonight, and I don't even get a paycheck this week

\after mixing those 2, it doesn't look too bad on me, so those for me are a keeper, but yea I'm tossing the other 2, my cousin loves the one I gave her

reading comments like these makes me think 2xabout pigments, but I'm just starting to get into them.... hmm isn't there a thread around here somewhere about piggies, and eye safeness??

I have heard both that the glitters are safe and that the glitters are not safe for use on the eye area. You can find a lot of tutorials on YouTube where they use the glitters directly on the eye. I think it is a judgement call. I find some things that are approved really irritate my eyes. I really think you have to play with the products and see if you are sensitive to them. This is absolutely my opinion.

technically you're not meant to use glitter on your eye area. however what i do is mix it with a gel like mac's eyeliner mixing medium so that loose glitter doesn't get in your eye.

butyes many people do use it on the eye area loose but i never risk it.

got my gloss sets! they rock! i got frisky and sexy and love all the colours in them! perfect for travel and a really nice selection.
i shall do a swatch of snowscene and elle when i get home from work later...

Yay Lou, I'm so glad you got your stuff!! I got my gloss sets too (Sexy soft and Frisky bright) and they're so pretty!

My favorite is Poetic License in the soft set (why is this one not perm?!?! Boo!). It's so gorgeous, I just love it!

The boxes are really cute too...I'm sure I'll do something crafty with them at some point. My hubby calls them "swiss cheese boxes" and thinks they'd be handy storing tools. Tools?!? Yeah, good luck with that!
