MAC - Holiday 09: Magic, Mirth and Mischief (Holiday Sets Part I) Discussion

I'm glad that all of the Holiday Sets are available online! I would love to get a set but right now I'm trying not to purchase another thing online. Also, I'm behind 4 collections and trying to get the Fall collections out of the way first.

they feel like the old school MAC matt murphy (?) bags. they nice, just not all

When Specktra's down I worry for my bank account!

I had no interest in a Face Kit until I started stalking the MAC site because I missed Specktra. Now all of a sudden I've been thinking to myself "That Hocus Focus Face Kit would be great for travel!" all day long.

Well it was super hard to narrow it down..

I had a LOT of stuff in my Shopping Cart but took it out at last minute after having a good look at my stash.

Finally grabbed:
Boy Bait Cremesheen Glass
Do-the-Trick Buff and Line Brushes
Sorceress Eye Shadow Palette
Smoke and Mirrors Eye Shadow Palette
(random: another 15-pan palette and Gorgeous Gold e/s pan)

Removed Heavenly Dish lip palette, Put a Spell on You Pink Lip Bag, Mystic Cool eyeshadow palette and Fab-racadabra Bronze face kit at the last minute!

I went to Nordies on Tuesday and preordered Sorceress and Smoke & Mirrors. The crappy part about that is that the SA told me she couldn't mail them to me and I don't know when I'd be able to drive down there again. I've done a charge send with them before and I thought their policy is that they'll ship something for free as long as it's at least $25. How aggravating! I'm still debating on Devil May Dare, but it's probably dupeable so I'll just wait until it hits my CCO. I still want Boy Bait, Partial Pink, and maybe Surprise Me. Hell... I haven't even tried on any of my Dazzleglass Cremes... and I bought all 9 of them! Maybe I need to chill out for awhile.

If i'm NC15, red hair, can I wear Shimpagne?? Or should I go with the Hocus Pocus Face Kit? These are all new face colors for me, so I have no idea which would work. Please help!! Thanks!!

but I think I'm the only person here who doesn't have a "MAC" match for skin/foundation. I never wore that til this year, but Revlon. I have to find out soon for the sake of this site

I am NC20, with freckles, and I love Shimpagne. Don't know if that helps any. It looks really nice with Springsheen blush - I usually put on Shimpagne first and then Springsheen over it.

Shimpagne is stressing me out and I can't sleep!

I really want Shimpagne, I have for quite some time...but I don't want the MES or the MB in the kit. I suppose I could try to sell the items I don't want/need here, but I think I'm too lazy for that.

I could say what the hell, get the kit, toss the extra goodies at someone for Christmas and call it a day...but I think I'll still have guilt!

Maybe I'll just keep Shimpagne on my "find in the CB" list.

I always say something is great for travel and then I wind up taking a 15 palette, full-sized brushes and sample pigments, anyway.

The last time I travelled, I was so paranoid, I wasn't letting the maid in, and was using their stuff to clean the room myself. DH was like "This is ridiculous. Why did you bring the stuff in the first place?"

Has anyone compared this new smoky palette with the smoky palette from last year? I'm really debating whether or not to get it when having the one from last year.

My lemmings for this collection have come down quite much. I was a little dissappointed with the pigment sets, the only one that might be nice is the one with Naked piggie. The cheek palettes look okay (I would be glad if the colours in one of them caught my eye, they seem good when in hurry/traveling). All the product in this collection I have to see in person to know if I want any.
