OK, I made the mistake of taking The Great Enabler with me to go shopping, which means I ended up with more than I intended. The collection is small but very classy. I have to wonder, though, if the person who thought up the design for the displayer was thinking quite clearly. It's a very nice looking piece, but the problem is that to see the product- other than some samples attached to the front- you have to open it. There is nothing that indicates that it opens and, apparently, the MAs had a hell of a time figuring it out as well. I like to think I'm smarter than your average bear, but I never would have thought to start pulling at panels of the displayer to see if there was product inside... But, hey, it looks beautiful.
A word of warning for those of you who are interested: My pro store got as few as three units per item. since either one or two have to go in the display case... That means you have one saleable item. Catharina was already gone (I wasn't planning on getting it, but TGE really loved it, so I guess I dodged a bullet) and I bought the only perfume they had to sell. They did, apparently, get a lot of the brushes, so she said there was no problem there.
Anyway, here goes a recap with some pictures... I'm going to post these in separate bits, so sorry if it looks like I'm carpet bombing...
The photo doesn't do Gertruyd justice- it doesn't look like it hangs in lip lines so much when it's on. Aleydis is also more pigmented than it appears, although it's pretty sheer.
Gertruyd reminds me a little of a sheerer version of A Different Groove from LoL, while Aleydis is kind of like a cross between True Babe and Revenge is Sweet.
All the glosses are quite sheer, and feel a lot like Cremesheen glasses to me. This is the same formula that they used for the glosses in last year's luxe collection.
