Today I wore:
Cashflow Paint Pot, Amber Lights, and Material Gold on the lid, with Expresso in the crease, Shroom as highlight, and Reflects Bronze all over. It was sooo hot!!
Another artist was going for Hilary Duff's look in her new Reach Out video (which I loove SOOO much). She wore Bare Study as base, Satin Taupe all over, Gilded Ash in the crease, and Antique Reflects Gold all over lid. It was soooo pretttyyyy.

Glitters look sooo good on the lid. I wish we could wear them all the time on the lid and get away with it.

Do you have a picture of it

yep. 1st I tried it with the p/p, no deal. Yesterday I tried it with a paint, still a no go. I guess next I will try the LLL and then after that, I'll just accept that creasy look

^Using 2 bases underneath helps me a lot (kind of counterproductive, I know, but I'm desperate to make these work). I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance today on my lids first (wait for it to dry), then used MAC fluidline in frostlite over the TFSI (wait for it to dry), then patted the metal-x shadows over those with my finger, and there's still creasing, but not nearly as bad. Hope this helps.

I used my Gilded Ash today. Put it on at 7:30 this morning and practically 12 hours later, still no creasing! I used UDPP as the first base, followed by a thin layer of Beige-ing shadestick, and then a thin layer Brassbeat LLL (which matches Gilded Ash perfectly, incidentally). Worked like a charm! I can't wait to try out Verdigris and Material Gold...and now I may have to hunt down some of last year's Metal-X shadows.

The best base I've found so far is Bare Study pp. I think any of the frosty pp would be the same. It stays put and doesn't crease! The only thing I don't like about Bare Study is that it's so shimmery! So I have to use a different base for the highlight area. Oh well, it works for me!

PS, luvmkup thanks for the frostlite suggestion! I've been trying to figure out what to do with that color, so at least it will have some purpose!

Its pretttttty! Especially if you like smokey & grey. They are so amazingly creamy...like butter to apply.

Awesome - thanks!

I want Material Gold too, but I want to know a little more about how the color looks on. I just may have to get it now.

miss you

Darn daytime job! I have a hearing tomorrow, so I think I'll use Material Gold on the lid and Pink Split in the crease. That'll let me try out Classic Cream as a base.

thanks. I will try some of those steps. I did use my finger and love how it applies. Then I used a brush to soften the hard edges. Just wish it stayed dammit.

Tell me about it. That color is just HOT. I wore it last night with Gold Russ and Satin Taupe above the crease.

R u guys putting shadows on top of the metal x shadows also? For me, it helps soak up the moisture so they don't crease. For those of you using 2+ bases, that seems so extreme! These work so beautifully for me, but maybe I just don't have the same oil issues as some of you ladies. I just wish people could see the potential I see with these!

I do like the colors are very close to the shadows. Maybe I will take a trip up there tomorrow to buy some.

No I haven't tried that. Thought about it but didn't do it. So the color isn't masking the the creams? Or are you using a color close to them?
