One more thing can I ask of your knowledge please. She used prep +prime HD powder and I read that it is mainly composed of cornstarch and that causes break-outs. However when I told the MUA that she said she uses it all the time and doesnt have that problem. When I was younger I used the Cornsilk powder but I cant recall if it caused the acne I had at the time to be any worse or not since I was always plaqued with it.

yes, the main ingredient is cornstarch. i use this everyday on myself, and don't get breakouts. i don't get breakouts at all anyway, but using this hasn't given me any either, so i'm gonna say not, it shouldn't break you out. but then again, everyones skin is different. i love it and feel everyone should use it!

i'm surprised they're selling this, seeing as it doesn't come out til this thursday. like i told monica, no one has been given permission to sell this, or anything else coming out, before its official release date.

if you do order it online, it won't be there til tuesday.

Not sure why the were selling it then. They had it when I went on Friday. It's on a display with the Mineralize foundation. I'll probably try the Prep+Prime powder and see how it goes. I did really like how it felt when she used it on Friday.

Thanks again for your advice/info

Does anyone know how this foundation in NW15 comparesin color to Studio Fix Fluid SPF15 in NW15? That's what I'm using now, and it's slightly too dark for me in the winter. I'm looking for something lighter in shade with about the same amount of coverage.

I saw this brush today and.....it's SOOOOO TINY
th_dunno.gif
So many of you have been raving about it, but it seems so small for a foundation brush
nope.gif
It seems like it would be more work applying my foundation rather than making it easier. It would take hours and my arm would fall off by the end of application lol.

On another note, I bought the foundation. Haven't used it yet, but I'm wondering which one of my brushes I should apply it with. When I touched the foundation with my fingertips, I couldn't believe the texture. It's so creamy. I've never felt a compact foundation this creamy before. I'm hoping it will be great on me. (keeping my fingers crossed)!

Circular motions dear, you'll finish in the very same time you'll do with any other brush/sponge!!

i wish i was brave enough to show you my bare skin but maybe when the redness is gone.
As for the matching it was very weird because my first mac foundation was studio fix fluid NC25 and i have NC30 on the compact one, she matched me to NW20 and i have to say it looked better than any of the other ones !
i currently use 01 double wear i think it's called fresco and i have 030 dior nude for the summer.
i know my choices in types are messed up but i don't wear foundation all the time because my skin tans easily and i can never get the right color plus my skin is acting crazy going from dry to combo.
th_dunno.gif

so i suggest to go try it before you buy it! i will be hunting down that refined zone!

and again i thank everyone, Flaminbird, Hypathya, only1angel ,TeresitaMC for the positive comments it was the best day in weeks ! Having to cut my long hair last month was a terrible experience and i keep wondering why i am so attached to my hair ?

i will try the 130 brush with all these foundations and report back!

That's what I use and I like it a lot for it, buffs the foundation out nicely.

studio fix fluid in nw15 is too dark for me but this mineralize foundation in nw15 works just fine!

Day 3 and I am still loving this foundation. It is a perfect color match and consistency. Looks flawles on. This stuff irritates my forehead from time to time but it does not leave any obvious bumps. I skipped on the brush and just use my 187 to apply and buff. It works well for me. So far this is my HG for sure!

so i decided I won't get this foundation until mid summer when I have a fully established tan. I just got Nars Sheer Glow and loving it so as of now I have 4 "winter" foundations (MUFE HD, studio sculpt, Nars sheer glow and MUFE duo mat) and only one "summer" foundation (MUFE F&B). Since my skintone is quite different in the summer, I will wait until then

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how long should this foundation last if you use it everyday with normal coverage? The compacts in my mind just seem so small and tiny compared to a bottle of SFF

It's medium coverage and long lasting. It looks great on in natural and artificial lights. It covered all my tiny scars and red spot (no need for concealer). It also feel really light on the skin. I wouldn't say it "glows" though, it's kinda semi-matte. They have a wide range of colours too and I found my perfect match (Light5 - Fiji). I think I like this even better than MUFE HD.

Looks like it's up to me to try it out for "us" medium skinned ladies

I was planning a trip to Dillard's MAC counter tomorrow anyway for my Fuschia blush and True Babe l/g so I think I might pick this up and get matched even though I don't have as much of a tan as I will in a few weeks with the weather warming up. I will let you know Shadowy, what color I get matched with

Not a stupid question....i want to know too! It just seems so small compared to bottles BUT i am using a lot less...first time I used it I thought I dented the compact already but I barely scratched the surface. If I guesstimate correctly, maybe about 3-4 months with everyday use...

^My SF Powder compact lasts about 6 months! I buff it on with a 182 and 181 kabuki over prep + prime primer. Sometimes I switch off and wear SS or just MSFN though so i am not using it every single day. But the compacts actually last a lot longer than you'd think (at least with SF). As compared to MAC's liquid foundations though, I think those last Even LONGER! I am still on my very first bottle of SF Fluid (although that shade was matched wrong NW40?!!? so I B2Med the bottle LOL)
