MAC Pressed Pigments Collection (August 2013)

If you've never bought any of the pressed piggies, I still say Deeply Dashing is the #1 best of them all, even of these nice new ones. Summer Honey is lighter, but it'll be a nice option if you are drawn to the LE allure of it. I'm passing on it, but mainly because I've got Warming Heart already, which is close enough for me (and I wear Deeply Dashing much more anyhow)

All because of YOU little missy... DD also ended up in my cart yesterday! LOL
I already have Spotlit, Jet Couture, and Day Gleam. I've only used Day Gleam and Jet Couture so far and I just felt so-so about them. But I grabbed those little applicators you were raving about awhile back and some TFGG and plan to attack them again soon with a new method! HeeHee
I had to snag the 3 LE shades I felt I couldn't live without if I all of a sudden fall in love with these babies... Then I have 3 more on my list to try if I do!
Fingers Crossed!

Soooooooo pretty pretty Copperhead! I MUST use these more! They are JUST the kind of thing I like, I just need to get more comfortable with application! Glad this new batch seems so promising! Keep the looks coming ladies! It's motivation!
I've had mine for a few weeks now and finally decided to mess with it.

Damson swatch. It is more of a yellow gold on my skin tone . Looks so different on deep vs light skin. I like it!

Pink Pepper puts me in mind of Expensive Pink a bit and Moth sorta reminds me Smoky Mauve from EDES. I finally have a more definite list that I think I will be able to stick to, at least for a while, Damson, Pink Pepper, Black Grape, Midnight. Maybe, just a small maybe, Lime Ice and Moth eventually but for now 4 out of six is good! Or maybe Rock Candy! Sorry Mac have me confused!

For your coloring, Lime Ice or Pink Pepper or Moth might be nicer than Damson - Damson is quite warm toned and smokey. If you want that, though, you should go for it - it's beautiful! I know I'm going to wear it out, like my Venetian Tarnish. My VT has a big old dip in it, unlike most of my other shadows, lol - except for Deeply Dashing, which is also seriously used and abused!
Lime Ice, Pink Pepper, &Moth are also ones I think I'd like to try. I think maybe I'll try to go in the store to take a look at these. The only think about LI is I fear I won't get much use out of it because I usually don't wear light green colors enough. That's the only reason I skipped Zestful, because it is very pretty and was hard for me to skip. I'm sure I'd get more use out of Pink Pepper, Moth &Damson. I googled VT &it's so pretty! It's no wonder you've used it so much! Deeply Dashing is tempting me, too.

Yeah, I probably should stick to just getting one at first to make sure the formula is one I like.

Going to check them out in person is the best idea if you haven't bought any of them yet! I'm on the fence about getting LI too, because most green shadows don't contrast enough with my green eyes. LI is so close to my eye color that it sort of washes everything out - at least in the light of the MAC store. I'm thinking I can adjust it to be perfect putting it over a grey paint pot and using a navy liner, like Night Trail, rather than black or brown. If you have fair NW skin and brown eyes, though, LI is going to look fantastic!

I wonder why Midnight is not available online right now & why it's not on display? I wonder if they are having some type of problem with the formulation. Does anyone know what is going on with that PP?

Collections have been incomplete recently. Midnight not being available yet is certainly not new to Mac. They had similar issues with the AG pearl mattes, the EDSF and a few other collection items if my memory serves me right

A MAC release wouldn't be right with some sort of hiccup lol

If I recall correctly, wasn't there an issue with some of the EDSF's having a fingerprint-sized mark (can't remember the reasoning) show up on a whole bunch of them? I tend to be more skeptical about why only one of the pressed pigments is MIA. Working in a retail cosmetics business, I often see when things all of a sudden are held up from being released or an item (or possibly the whole line within a product line) are pulled off the shelves. It has been either problems with the packaging or an issue with the formulation. With tools, it can be a bad design flaw, which could give some very bad results.

Color me skeptical!
