MAC - Prolongwear Discussion

I gotta say the lip colors aren't really doing it for me. They either seem boring or like they'd just clash with my coloring. I will go in to play with them, though.

I was so curious about the concealer I was going to get up early and go to a Mac store, but I remembered it's not actually out yet. I have my HG foundation+concealer combo in mufe, but for some reason, I feel compelled to find a Mac concealer or foundation that works.

however i do appriciate that sometimes after lots of swatches and such it is nice when somebody is making a post anyway to say thanks to that person. at the end of the day use the thanks button when you want, if you never want to use it that is fine! if you want to say a personal thanks in a post you are making that is fine too

I know I am late with my post now but I have super busy days at school at the moment.

Please keep in mind we have over 60,000 members and a lot more guests here.

If you can reach only one with an advice or make only one happy with a swatch - then it is totally worth it, I think.

And I am sure not many people would return to a forum like ours if they were not interested or thankful at all.

So keep the ball rolling by chatting, posting swatches and reviews and giving advices!

I love the foundation! bought it in NW20.
I also bought 2 l/s - Unlimited & Till Tomorrow, don't like them separate but together - perfection! I lightly pat Till Tomorrow and then I lightly pat Unlimited on top - this combination is exactly the color I looked for in a lipstick.

I think I already posted in another thread:

I tested the concealer under my eyes and got a horrible allergic reaction. I had swollen and hurt eyes for two days - I felt a bit ashamed going to school like that.

I will never wear it again

oh Susanne, that is terrible! Do you have any clue as to any particular ingredient that may have triggered it? See, I am always worried because of my contacts.

No I don't know

I never had an allergic reaction from a MAC product before.

Holy crap! I'm not trying this concealer now. It's not worth it. I can sometimes deal with little bumps and things, but if I had a noticeable reaction, I would refuse to leave my house until it was gone. I'm skipping this whole collection.

Elegant, have you played with the lip colors? Why do you think I'll buy a bunch?

So true!

I don't know how many times I've gone in to look at something thinking there's no way I'll buy anything. I don't want to buy the lippies, though. I want VV.

For those who have the foundation, would you mind sharing what the active sunscreen ingredient(s) is? Thanks!!

I got the NW15 in the Concealer & NC15 in the foundation. We'll see. I'll get a sample of the NW20, but I'm sure it won't work.

Are you getting any of the ls? I think I am going to get Overtime & Perpetual Flame - <---that is a Pink/Cranberry/ Raspberry girl!

Oh, for this foundation, the really hot MAC artist was wearing it & she said she used the 130 brush to apply it. Dang, it looked so flawless.

If I ever find the perfect foundation I'll probably try to bathe in it.
lol.gif

I hope the foundation works for you! I think I'll try the same shades you got when I pick up samples. Hopefully the note of them running a bit on the light side will help us find matches.

I want to check out the lippies before buying, but right now I'm really liking Perpetual Flame and Unlimited. I can't pass up that cranberry pink color and I like the looks of the swatches for Unlimited, so...more than likely they'll be mine.

Skin beautifying Bubble Bath I say!

I was thinking that too, they are running a lil light so yeah, maybe it will work after all.

Funny, me too. I changed my mind - I'm getting Unlimited & Perpetual Flame & then maybe overtime. I Love the new swatches!

I'm wondering if the lightest pink of the lipcreme shades (unlimited? or overtime?) is similar to YSL Rouge Volupte 001 without the glossiness?

Also I tried the Pro longwear foundation today with Mineralize skinifinish natural buffed with a kabuki brush and i LOVED the result. If it wasn't for a huge breakout I'm coming out of, my skin was flawness. Picture in swatch thread!

I'm sorry to hear the concealer has given somebody a very bad reaction, and I hope you get better soon

If you have the bottle/box handy, would you mind sharing the SPF ingredient of the foundation? Thanks!

I was actually very surprised that the concealer didn't cause me an allergic reaction. I can't wear a lot of MAC products, and this concealer has as ingredient that I'm aware that gives me allergy (butylene glycol - I made a patch test).

I guess the concentration is low
