i couldn't agree more! i matched a girl today and tried nc50 on her (i could tell she was an nc50 just by looking at her. in the PLW, it was too dark, so i tried nc45, and it was too light. we tried nc50 in SFF and it was a dead-on match, so she went with SFF.

these are gonna be tricky to match, just like when SS foundation came out.

I played with this collection a little bit tonight... concealer feels nice, looks like it would cover nicely and wouldn't settle in lines and stuff but it's impossible to do a half-pump. The whole pump is just too much. I hate that.
Foundation pump is much easier to control. I tried it on an hr ago or so, it applies nicely and dries fast, very fast. The finish really is natural, not too matte and definitely not shiny in any way. I noticed my face started itching few minutes after I applied it, but I was typing an email about something that pissed me off, so maybe my face was itchy because of that? lol it went away eventually...
I can't say anything about how well it wears or anything, because I'm going to take it off now (real test comes tomorrow) but I did take a tissue and pressed it against my forehead (My skin is very oily) and nothing was transferred. Not even a little bit. Other foundations would always transfer onto the tissue! So I rubbed the tissue on my face and nothing came off. Very happy about that! Also, my face feels very soft.

Thank you.I used moisturecover concealer as my base, then brule on the lid, shadowy lady in the crease, cork above the crease, and highlighted with vanilla. I used blacktrack for the winged liner above, and smolder mixed with shadowy lady for the lower liner.

So I kept the lip colour on through dinner and it seemed to hold pretty well. The texture seems to hold through the day, but if you are a lip rubber like I am it doesn't stay as nice. The second I added gloss it started to move around so gloss will definitely ruin the long wearing.

Thank you so much for bringing that up! I thought it was just me. I'm normally NC 40/42, but those shades came out a little too yellow on me. My MUA matched me with NC45. It's a nice finish, but I thought it was kind of weird. Maybe it's the ingredients/new formula???

These lippies really do wear a LONG time - I am loving it.

I am using the foundation today (NW20) - I am liking that too. I did not have a problem applying. And the color seems right-on for me. I'd like to try the concealer.

Can't wait to see how the foundation looks at the end of the day!

The concealer and foundation finally arrived in stores here and of course I got both. Like everyone else said, they seem to blend cover and stay very well, now I'm only hoping that they don't break me out.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but today I saw the Prolongwear lipsticks in their permanent positions (until now, they were on the special stand like every other LE collection). They are actually positioned in the lip gloss tower (like lipglasses, dazzleglasses etc). I was surprised, I thought that they would be displayed somehow along or next to the lipstick holders

I checked out the collection. I'm a NC30 in the other foundation but was matched to NC25 with this one. I'm not really sure how I think about these as of right now. My skin was really dry and crusty at the time so the foundation looks gross and cakey lol. I'll consider them in the future.

I did get some of the lipcremes and I noticed that Till Tomorrow looks like Viva Glam II, Overtime like Cream Cup, and Good to Go like Morange. I definitely don't think it's worth it to have both unless the long wearing factor is important. They do smudge, just not as much as regular lipsticks is all.

When I asked the MUA if we could B2M for the pro-longwear l/s, she said yes.

See, that's what I thought, but I just called my Macy's MAC & they said No

Why is there so much confusion all the time around B2Ms????

WTH?! I was at a MAC in Macy's. She told me I could B2M for both the Pro-Longwear l/s and any l/s in Venomous Villains. I even repeated it back to her to make sure I heard right. That totally drives me nuts. Come on, people! So which is it???

Ok, I'm not a Rocket Scientist or anything, but how about MAC telling their MAs what is or is not specifically b2m - with each collection that comes out. And, if they do that already...obviously they need to have another meeting.

I should've been a Rocket Scientist

So true. I ended up with a sample of the NC50 foundation. It is pretty perfect and pretty close to NW45; but without the dreadful red/orange when oxidizing. One side of my face is NC50 and the other is NW45 right now and the only difference is that NC50 is clean and slightly dewy/glowy, where as NW45 is running a tad red/orange. Other MAC formulas, by now, my foundation would be a red/orange mess.

The foundation is staying on VERY well. I am like the most oily girl out there I feel at times. But not with this. I don't even have to use blot powder right now.

I really like this formula. Comparing to MUFE Mat Velvet, because was currently my HG for its staying power, its more fluid than Mat Velvet but still 100% non transferable. Mat Velvet transfers a bit on me at times. With Prolongwear, nothing is coming off on to my hands when I touch my face, but I can still feel the foundation. I still like the color choice of Mat Velvet though. Its going to be good to have both in the long run.

A little goes a long way. The pump is the MAC fix + pump and I think too much comes out at once for me. There is no press it 1/2 way to get only a little bit. I really didn't want to keep pumping the tester, wasting product to gauge how much is going to come out in the store. I'll play with my own later when I haul.

The concealer. I am on the fence with the colors. Like which one to get, cause NC50 is similar to NW45. The MUA told me NW45 as a concealer is better undereye to help with dark circles. So i have to decide. I love the cute little bottle, but I thought the consistency was pretty thin. Later on, I did notice it dries quick and becomes a little thicker. Again, a little goes along way, so watch the pump action. Like one pump may be way more than you need for under eye coverage on both eyes. Like may concealers, finger application on yourself is a good bet with this one.

I like the price point... in the same realm as the other MAC concealers.

I just got my Concealer (NW15) & Foundation (NC15)

I must say that I am quite impressed & liking very much how soft & natural it looks on! The application was just fine for me - I did not have any of the 'it dries too quick' issues. It went on beautifully. Lovely almost like a cream to powder finish. I used a cream blush over it to see how it applied over the foundation & it was great.

I love how the concealer looks on - natural & pretty. It did layer nicely for more buildable coverage. If you have really dark circles, you may have to layer. But this is so lovely for everyday. I am a huge Stickler for it having to look 'natural'

For the foundation, I used my finger to apply one side of my face (yes I am a finger applier) & the other side, I used the 130. Both looked just fine & natural, the brush perhaps buffed it into the skin a little more. I loved how it looked around the nose & mouth area - very very natural. Another must for me. The NC appeared like it would be too yellow tinted for me, but it actually helped even out any redness & looks like a good skin match. I will also get a sample of the NW20 - just to be sure. Will see how it wears through the rest of the day

If this does not break my skin out - it will be a sure keeper.
Yep - the pumps SUCK!

Wow - if you can get a good match in the concealer go for it.

I just went back to do my eyelids etc. using the MAC 195 brush...squirt a small amount onto the back of your hand, & like an artist pick up the concealer with the 195. It works beautifully on the lids, nose, mouth area as well as any little imperfections. It really makes the skin looks flawless.

Now, if it doesn't make my contacts foggy after a while, I will be so happy.

My MA was actually dissuading me from the foundation, which surprised me - but it confirmed my opinion that MF SPF15 is the right one for me. Both of us felt that the satin finish was the way to go with my dull skin texture issues. I'm thankful to know she's not interested in pushing products on me for the hell of it. I did get a little sample though, and will give it a try.

Elegant - total agreement about the concealer. I usually hate concealer - never can find one that doesn't cake, settle into lines, etc etc. but this one is great and even managed to erase some incipient crow's feet - wasn't expecting that. I wear NC15 in the MF SPF15 foundation and was going to go for NW15 for the concealer, but my MA had me compare it with NW20 and the 20 worked better! I've got puffiness issues more than darkness issues and the darker shade flattened them out visually much better.

I'm so used to the old style of using a little lighter concealer, so it didn't seem quite as "brightening" at first, but hell, if I want a bright effect in the outer portion of the under eye where it blends into the cheekbone, I can use a highlighter - don't need to make my concealer do double duty with these bags to deal with hehe.

Thanks for the info. ^yeah i always do the lighter concealer, but hey maybe I will get a sample of the 20 just to see the difference.
Yep, I agree - this is one of the best concealers! I don't see any settling into anything at this point. And I have almost 51 year old skin around my eyes
lol.gif

And, I am not getting that - oh you're wearing concealer raccoon look either.

You know the MAC email promo pics that you got for the Prolongwear - yep, you too can get that 'Mannequin' look
