Re: Stylistics Discussion

Any word on what shades the Sheer Mystery Powders will work for? I'm worried they will all be too dark for an all over powder (NW20ish, MSF Natural Medium).

I'm an NW20, and I bought (and loved) the Mystery Powder from Couture in Medium. What color do you think I need in the Mystery Powder for the Stylistics? I'm afraid the medium shade this year may be too dark. Any help? TIA

Tough to say as the product is not out yet. Though based on the colour descriptions it looks like they are more suited to women of colour this time around where as last years shades were not.

Maybe NEXT year MAC will get it together and release a wider range of shades that suit everyone.

Maybe it's just me but I'm so overwhelmed with the number of collections at this point that I can't even be bothered seriously looking at them anymore. LOL

I've kinda figured out what colors from MAC work for me, so I'm pretty comfortable ordering a couple of things without actually seeing them. And, if I don't like the color of something, it's super easy to return for a refund on the site.

Witty does look very pretty! Does anybody know how "sparkly" the Sheersparked pressed powders are - are we talking a subtle highlight effect or visible sparkles?

The colours are sp pretty, but the packaging-eww. sorry i don't care for this tacky stuff at all. they should release those colors with regular packaging IMO

No offense to anyone who loves this collection....but to me, the embellishments look like someone had a bunch of leftover gems from their be-dazzler and just went nuts gluing them onto the compacts!

If I'm going to pay that much for a compact, I'd rather it be timeless and classy with really nice swarovski crystals (and not those dull black "rhinestones" they stuck on MAC couture's compacts either!) I guess I'm just picky!

I'm a little more interested in this collection than I thought I would be... its definitely something I will have to see in person before even considering buying though.

How do the Mystery Powders work? Is it similar to the MSF Naturals? Can you wear it alone or is it more of a "finishing" powder?

Stylistics Lipglass in Witty (a shimmery holly berry color) is featured in Fitness magazine Dec/Jan issue. They say that it 'brightens the face & makes teeth look white'. It looks very, very pretty if that's exactly what was used on the model in the photo!

Re: Stylistics Discussion

I did a LiveChat to figure out how light Model Chic was. The LiveChat artist said that Model Chic was for fair to medium skintones.

It looks pretty dark in the pictures here, but rather light on the swatch on the MAC site - so I guess I will wait until someone sees it in person!

I also did a live chat regarding Mystery Powder. The MA told me Model Chic would work for me, and I am NW20. HTH
