I am also starting to think that it was a glitch or mistake. If you look up short shorts on the site, it is no longer available. I did another live chat and got the same BS about signing up for notification emails, etc...My interest in this collection is waning again.
NARS, MUFE and Chanel don't seem to jerk around their customers this much. This is why I have really started straying from MAC. I am over the BS.

It's the power of specktra. People check here, go get their stuff and people did call and do live chats so that it probably how Mac found out or fixed their glitch.

I don't think that SS is necessarily sold out. I think someone realized the mistake and made it currently unavailable.
I think that I am done stalking the MAC site. If I happen to open the site and the collection is there, then I will take a look. I am done worrying, however, about this. Crappy customer service by MAC if you ask me. Just tell your customers what will be available when.

Then why don't they own up to it? It makes me really frustrated. They could simply say "Sorry that was a mistake, and the collection will be up on the site on ____." It seems like they were not as secretive in the past.

I don't know why, in the live chats, they can't just say what's up. I mean don't you want people to rush in and buy everything? Why is it so secretive? Ok, even if the people we're interacting with don't know the exact moment things will be available, why aren't they aware, or at least willing to share an estimated time? It's BS to hear "oh the 26th" because we know that's not true or "sign up for e-mail notification". Do I look like I was born yesterday? At the end of the day, we'll survive without these products, but will they survive without our dollars? Mhm. I have so many places available where I can buy Mac, so I'm not concerned about not being able to get what I want at all, but I'd rather order in case I would have to take public transportation to a Mac counter or store. I don't have the energy for that. School is kicking my ass.

^^I know,I just did a live chat,and I got the whole sign up for the info line!I told them I don't believe they don't know the release date and I'm thru with these games.I also said that I am buying this stuff,so info should not be withheld from the customers!I was told that a supervisor would contact me thru email.Haha I'll blast them too!

Let us know what happens!!!! I'm interested to see what they say. I know that when the WW line came out a bunch of stuff was sold out by the time the e-mail went out!

Shontay is TOTALLY right about some of us reading Specktra and then going to buy! I just did it... Shame!
I'm going to the MAC party tonight, and I do not want to be run over by folks trying to get their hands on that cheek powder. Plus, (some of) these MAC hussies are running around telling folks that the pro discount doesn't apply. LIES. It totally does. I just got it online. Less hassle that way.

All I have to say is I'm done lol I was never really one to worry about will i be able to get it or wont I and I simply refuse to start now. I understand business need to make money and hide their trade secrets but not to the point of pissing off customers or being shady like with what NYX did. MAC has been down right irritating since the whole VV collection in Sept. So I am going to do what I always did and that's just not worry about it. If I get something from the collection I want great if not oh well. I have a wish list a mile long from different companies and from MAC perm line I need to chip away at when I have the funds.

Anyone else shocked that they are honoring the PRO discount for this collection? I know it's not a 'licensed' collection but I'm still surprised!

[/quote] Ooh, I'm curious. What from this collection did you buy? I said I wasn't going to get the Surf the Ocean stacks for various reason. The main reason being I have a ton of loose shadow products, like pigments from Mac and Mufe that I hardly use. However, these colors seem appealing and I think I need to get it because once it's gone it's gone. Better safe than sorry, right? Someone talk me out of this.hboy:

Yes its tonight !!! I was suppose to go to the party but I have since changed my mind. I have been thinking these launch parties are so not worth the hassle. Way toooo many people !! Its a stampede. I mean really you would think MAC was giving away free stuff with all the people that come out to the launches !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so done !!

I've been to two parties and it was annoying to have so many people in a cramped space and then making sure the person helping you got the correct items. It was worth it to me, though because I am so impatient when it comes to buying things I've been hearing about. I am usually first in line, so I can swatch what I am most interested in before it walks away. :lol:
