I absolutely agree with you. I had Nylon for a while and I found it always looked too "loud"- very, very shiny. It always seemed to call attention to itself. By contrast, I absolutely adore Manila Paper, which is another slightly yellowed white, but much more restrained. I've heard that Short Shorts is an almost perfect dupe of that (which was LE from Spring Colour Forecast and Wonder Woman).
oh no!! yes i think short shorts is a good dupe. also some people say that nars albatross highlighter is a dupe for solar white too

This is me too, I started out with like 5 things, got it down to My Paradise, Hibiscus, and Surf Baby. Then killed Surf Baby and now I *think* I'm over Hibiscus. Just going to order My Paradise and a couple pro pans if there's no fs code available.

I think that Nylon would look lovely on you, although it looks like arse cheese on me. It would be a really nice contrast against your skin. It's funny what you're saying about the LE nonsense. I noticed that of the bloggers who got samples for review last week (Temptalia, MUBB and others), none of them seemed to get Hibiscus, which is the most anticipated of the lip products. I wondered if they were trying to ensure that it would still be wildly in demand by not allowing any widely read bloggers to give it a negative review. There are still lots of reviews and swatches kicking around, but the big American MU writers didn't get it with their samples.

[/quote] I have Manila Paper and looking at both eyeshadows they do look simmilar however, Short Shorts is lighter. I think people should definetly check this collection out in person. I like this collection more than To The Beach. I love the bronzer stick it's really creamy and blends in well into the skin, i was 100% skipping this but after I spoke to the MA about it, i had to get it. I've been wearing it as bronzer and contour since and top it up with NARS's Laguna bronzer.

I have fond memories of To The Beach. From the anticipation, to the trip to pro, to buying way more than I intended. I was at the peak of Mac infatuation. I bought half, or at least a little more than half of that collection. What I love is that in my opinion, there wasn't one bad product. It was a matter of preference in colors. I love everything I bought and in some cases (like Flurry of Fun), I wish I had backed it up. Some of the products in this Summer collection look like misses to me, but of course, that's just my opinion. I'm usually on the wrong or less populated side of a debate. :dunno: Manilla Paper is pretty awesome. I didn't know it was so beloved. I also just realized I have 2. One from the WW Valiant quad and one from Colour 4, Spring Colour Forecast. I really only bought that quad because there's a shadow called Creole Beauty. I don't even care for browns and golds on me. :haha:

The swatches I found on http://make-upjournal.blogspot.com/2011/05/mac-surf-baby-lipstick-and-lipglass.html of Hibiscus vs Toxic Tale makes me want to skip Hibiscus as I like Toxic Tale swatch way better.
