I think Shontay has sold me on Sun Blonde!

The raves for Surf USA are tempting me on that, too, but I don't know if I really need it -- I just bought the NARS trio a week and a half ago.

I'm going to try to use MAC's gel mixing medium with my purple stack from SCF this weekend to see if it will help with the fallout -- really my only complaint about that stack. If it works, I'd like to pick up the teal stack.

Does anyone know how silver the light green in the teal pigment stack is? The few reviews I've seen show that it's not green/teal at all. If it's really just silver, I'll pass. I have a tough time pulling off looks with a lot of silver for some reason.

I just bought Strange Potion at a counter two months ago, so I'm set on that.
Surf USA trumps all 3 colors in that Nars trio.

I went to MAC PRO today to pick up my hold, and I ended up buying hibiscus it looked really nice as did crazy kahuna! besides those two items I got billionare bronze since my palm beach is half way done and it's being discontinued, my paradise which looks beautiful! on me( MUFE hd 177 mac nc45-50) Sun blonde, Saffron, and Surf USA-very pigmented!! and greener than Parrot.

Thanks so much! You're so kind to post comparisons, and so quickly too! :3 Yet another reason why the Specktra community is so awesome.

Yup, going to have to pick up Krazy Kahuna...and aside from (one) Hibiscus, that will be it. Stay strong, Snarky! *puts lock on her wallet*

You've just reminded me, dang, wish I had bought a backup of Pret-A-Papier... ;_;

Soooo after seeing Temptalia's swatches... I'm thinking I want HIbiscus (already wanted that) and maybe now Bust Out. I think it looks really nice on Christine and seems to be a toned down version of other purpley lippies that I have... Hmmmm. Is anyone else wanting Bust Out?

Top: Surf USA, Bottom: Aquadisiac Surf USA is bolder, more teal, a little more pigmented. My beloved Aquadisiac of the lustre family that gets no love here on Specktra:)lol:). It's more of a sky blue. Not as teal leaning as Surf. Both have the same amount of shimmer, it seems.

So, after seeing more swatches I have decided to skip Surf the Ocean. Yes, again. It's not as awesome as my Photorealism quad. I love colors in that family. I'm out for Hibiscus only when this thing hits online. Hopefully, I won't be in class. If so, I'll have to go to my local Mac on Saturday.

Bust Out looked muddy over my red-pigmented lips. I think it'll be way better for medium or darker skin tones and/or more neutral natural lip colors. I'm going to try it again before making a final decision not to get it, but I'll probably still think it's not for me. Wearing a neutralizing lip pencil underneath it would bring out the color, but wreck the whole point of its semi-opaque texture (which I really like on principle for a color like this).

Well... I got a bit more than I thought I would. I seriously think that I'd convinced myself everything would be so lame that when I saw it in person, I was sort of pleasantly surprised. I said I was going to get Sun Blonde and Hibiscus. I ended up with:

Sun Blonde
Surf USA
Swell Baby
Hibiscus
Bust Out
My Paradise

Yeah, I even ended up with the blush I thought I was over. It's just that after anticipating it being really orange, it turned out to be a really pretty peach on my pink-undertoned skin. Gosh darn it to heck.

Sun Blonde is exactly what I wanted... I sort of see why people have compared it to Gorgeous Gold even though the colours are very different. There is something about the effect- the sheen that gives it a different look- that does link them. I can't wait to try them together.

Swell Baby is gorgeous! It's nothing like the perm colour Print, which I have and HATE. Print has crappy colour payoff and almost always looks muddy, plus it's incredibly uneven when applied. Swell Baby is much warmer and has a lovely, slightly warm sheen. The pigmentation is rich (as it is with all of the shadows) and it's a much warmer grey than print. It's lighter than Copperplate and the sheen differentiates the two- I think they could work really well together.

Surf USA- Incredibly rich. I showed The Great Enabler and even he was shocked at the intensity and richness of the colour. Most teals I have are much more blue than this one- this one has lots of green. A no-brainer for teal lovers and really a necessity for anyone who likes bright colours.

Bust Out- I was actually pleasantly surprised by this. Mac have released a whole lot of mid-tone purples recently (Spitfire, Quite the Thing, Play Time, Style Curve), but I feel that this one is what they were aiming for all along. It's purple rather than pink (unlike Style Curve and Spitfire)... It's not a blue purple like Go For It, but it definitely has its place. I agree with the review that described this as "dirty" (I'm sorry, I can't remember who said it, I believe it was Pink Basset). Up the Amp is more mauve rather than purple and Rebel is much more pink. I'll put up some swatches as soon as I can. (Note- won't be before Saturday, because I have to take a couple of little gentlemen in to the vet tomorrow)

Hibiscus- First swatch, I thought it was indistinguishable from Toxic Tale. It's very even and opaque for a cremesheen (I usually find that a little of my lip peeks through for most CS lipsticks). On the lips, though, the redness comes through much more. TT looks more orange and a bit cooler (insofar as orange can ever be "cool"), whereas this is a warm coral-red. Me likey.

I felt like Naturally Eccentric is something that they could have sold me- a cool analogue to Creme d'Nude- if they'd tried. As it stands, it was incredibly uneven and felt, I kid you not , GRITTY when I tried it on. Ick.

Mocha is Mocha. It never works on me, but on warmer skin tones, I'll bet it's lovely.

Of the glosses, only Krazy Kahuna seemed worth noting, honestly (Strange Potion really doesn't work on me). KK is gorgeous and smooth and pigmented and if I didn't already have a tube of Temper Tantra that I still haven't used, it would have been mine for sure.

My MA insisted I take home a sample of one of the crushed metal pigments... So he gave me a bit of the gold one. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. It's much smoother and easier to work with than I expected... Oh no...

The bronzers and lip balms don't interest me in the least, so I seriously didn't even look at that half of the display.

More info when I have more time. I'll just be happy if I can post this, because the power has gone off twice on me already...

Thanks for the swatches Shontay! Wow, I can't believe how LIGHT Aquadisiac is on you. It's darker on me, though that may be because I always use a white base underneath for that color.

I think you just convinced me to get Bust Out, Kate. I look forward to your swatches though.

I couldn't stand this collection when I first heard about it/saw the initial photos and now I'm kinda gettin excited here about a couple of things.

Hibiscus

I have a teal stack on hold at my counter, but I don't think I'm going to buy it. It's a lil expensive and it seems like it's going to take too much effort to make it work. The sea foam color doesn't look like what I expected either. The other teal stacks my counter got are also on hold for others so I guess mine will go to someone who really wants it and will use it.

Hey, Katred. Glad you like your stuff. Didn't you want short shorts at one point? I personally don't have a problem with Print, but I will give SB another look because the saffron, surf USA and sun blonde shadows are so impressive as far as texture. I'm really tempted to go tomorrow, but ugh.

I thought about it, but I decided to pass. Honestly, though, it's a lovely highlighter. I still have Manila Paper and love it and I feel like Short Shorts is a very good dupe for that... I seriously don't think that there's a dog among the shadows.
