MAC - Surf Baby Discussion

im so upset with MAC's extremely limited stock for collections!!!!!!

:( I got my hibiscus in Bloomingdales and payed 6$ shipping just cos MAC can't get their shit together! :(

I only got saffron (MAC online) and hibiscus (Bloom) Ill post swatches when I do get them :)

I just wanna get my PRO card, now!!!!! applied for it 2 weeks ago and can't wait! damn it!

Yeah I wasn't sold on that pigment stack because I usually HATE blues. But I'm starting to warm up to them if they can look like that!

Sorry to hear my paradise didn't work for you Liba, I thought it would work on all skin tones!

I'm pale (NW15) and I find it really nice, I wear it over the top of studio fix fluid and careblend pressed powder (don't know what it would look like on bare skin) and its quite orange/peachy for me - although it is not pure bright orange, it doesn't have any 'dirtied' hue when I wear it. Such a shame it didn't work for you. Hopefully your friend will be pleased with it :)

I'm really unsure what to do. I would run out to the Mac store to get my Pigment Stacks when they open but I'm expecting a delivery. I don't know if I should wait for my delivery or not. I got home late to find a neighbor has my mac.com order. How early can I knock on his door? What is the etiquette here? Any one have news of NYC area availability of items?

well. i ordered bust out because i wanted another ever hip (and added summer shower and a lipgelee as well, because i didn't want bust out to be lonely). i was hoping surf usa would be magically in stock today online, but nope. if i have time tomorrow i'll check it out while i'm running errands...unless i get the wild idea to go after work.

i must ponder the evil of my ways.

Gwinnett Place had 4 more Hibiscus when I just went in to get mine. Ask for DeMario - he's my favorite. I bought a 217 to celebrate. Does that make me pathetic? I can mix Vegas Volt and a pinky lipliner to get this color, buy it anyway and then spend more money to celebrate. Yep, pathetic...with pretty lips and a well-blended eye. ;-).

MY PIGMENTS ARE SITTING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! I'm gonna play with Summer Stash today and take a pic or two to show y'all what I came up with. As far as the rest of the collection, I only swatched Short Shorts, and I didn't get it. It was SLIGHTLY different from Fresh Daisy, but it's not different enough to warrant me getting it. I'm going back later today with a friend so I can show her everything, so maybe I'll play with more.

OMG THAT'S WHERE I JUST CAME FROM! You probably left before I got there though. I was in a teal/turquoise shirt and shorts.

The mac website must have gotten a bunch of product in cause they now have My Paradise available along with hibiscus and several of the other products that were sold out like the eyeshadows and such. Dillards.com also has all this stuff. Seems like mac created this huge panic at first but now it is all available so it makes me feel foolish now!

I know. I just purchased Hibiscus and Summer Shower. I used the code for free second day shipping. Now let's see if I actually get it, and it's not on backorder!

I was able to snag hibiscus and surf the ocean pigments on Bloomingdales. I get them next week! I have never used pigments before, but I couldn't help myself.

I'm regretting not getting Surf USA and Swell Baby so I may try to pick those up in store today.

And because I just swatched them HOLY FREAKING CRAP, Surf the Ocean is pigmented! The green is slightly sheer, but the other three? Like liquid metal.

(and don't feel foolish, just chalk it up to MACs trifling ways.)

Just back from macy's. I ended up with:

2 Hibiscus ls - GORGEOUS GORGEOUS on! I love it.
My Paradise blush
Gilded White eye pencil
2 samples jars of the darkest colors in the pigment stacks - for me, they were too metallic :(
Mix & Switch Mineral ES Duo - I didn't even know about these. Beautiful color for Blue, Green, Hazel eye color

Saving for the new Chanel collections now
