MAC - Surf Baby Discussion

You have the one from MC, right ? Well maybe its a little different
!! But like I said before its still a pretty color so im willing to play around with it..
It's crazy that some people are having problems with Saffron. It's very well pigmented for me. I just use it over a colorless base(Nars smudgeproof primer) and I have to go lightly with it.
I went to the MAC Counter this morning and got my stuff 
I was so bad! I was only planning on getting two items, but I got more than I was suppose to

[/quote] Yeah, I got the one from MC. I think it would be so dumb of Mac to bring back a color and it not be the same. It's pointless. Looking at it on the blogs, it seems to be the same, but I can't recall and "real" reviews of it. You know, by us normal people who have to go out and fight for/buy our stuff. Plus, a color can show up differently on people. That's the way the game goes. It's a bummer because I think it's a pretty and unique color, but definitely play with it. Perhaps pairing it with a gold can bring the color out more.

LoL !! I see you caved also & got Swell Baby. I "heard" you mentioned earlier that you order your pig stacks. I noticed the S in stacks, so does that mean you caved and purchased both stacks?? hahaha so did I

Just a question about the pigments. The Bronze colour from the Surf The Ocean, does is have a lumpy damp texture to it or is something wrong with mine? It's the only one that is the most clumpy like it got water in it.

Im determined to use them (they are so pretty) PLUS imma dust off the stacks from SCF and try to use they as well !!!

Dude, u r not alone!!!!! right when i saw in this thread itself that ever hip was back i RUN and got on MAC site I emptied my cart first cos i had 8 items (I wanted a Haul once i get my pro membership...but didnt wanna wait and miss ever hip again)!

Hey mine was like that and I took it back to MAC to exchange it for another one. BUT the MA's said it was okay because it has a creamy texture to it, PLUS it applied the same. I got a new one because they had dug into mine it to see if it was damaged. Plus they opened a few jars and they ALL were like that. So dont panic its okay you can still use it!!!

I picked up Bust Out ls and Surf USA es at Macy's...plus a lip brush. I have never tried a MAC brush so this may be a new love, lol...Im happy
I noticed Hibiscus is gone from the MAC site again, a sign I didn't really need it...my thoughts at the moment anyway.
Off the topic a bit:
I noticed in the Semi-Precious collection there are Creamsheen glasses. Are these less sticky than the lipglasses? I may have to pick one of these up!

Though I definitely agree with you... for a while I wanted both pigment stacks, two lippies, two lipglosses, four shadows, MP and a liner.
Thankfully I managed to take a lotttt of things off lol

I received my package today and

I truly adore Sun blonde. This is the yellow I have been looking for, it has no hint of gold and I can see the green but really trying to pick it up made me cross-eyed and I don't think it will transfer to the eye. I do think that it is cool toned but I plan or neutraling this bad boy down by pairing it with CoC Tempting Quad minus Sharp.
Surf Baby. I see no comparisons to my other teals Gulf Stream, Waterymph, Shimmermoss, Teal p/g, Starflash teal because it is way darker. It looks like Gulf Stream in the pan but doesn't swatch like it. I really don't wear my teal but I only had 9 of them, so I guess it can play with the others.
Bust Out surprises me the most because I thought it would be so much lighter. I believe in winter colors vs spring/summer colors and this just doesn't read summer to me, so I probably won't touch this until the fall.. Can I say now it makes me want Hibiscus even more instead of this one. This lipstick sucks next to Playtime, I shouldn't have cheated on it cuz it has made me hate Bust Out. Bust Out is going back to Mac.
Blue Noon I like because it is matte finish. I don't know about yall but all my other teal pencils have high shimmer and sometimes I don't want that, so I see the shimmer in Blue Noon but it is low shimmer that doesn't show up on me, yay!

OT: you might as well make a haul list for later, it's going to take a while to get your membership. took three weeks for mine to process and today the CSA told me it takes another 2-3 weeks to receive my card.
i wasn't going to wait to get the things i wanted right now. i'm impatient and was having a Veruca Salt moment, hee!

first it was just hibiscus and saffron...then it became those plus my paradise...then it became those three plus sun blonde, and now krazy kahuna, surf USA, swell baby and maybe a pigment stack have been added. i already had strange potion from VV (love that gloss), so only KK was appealing to me.
so far, though, i have ordered:

bust out
hangin' loose nail lacquer
my wallet is going to hell. straight. to. hell. it will wave at jesus as it flies by and nestle in the waiting arms of a well made up little devil.

So somehow yesterday I called Nordstorms and reserved both pigment stacks and a sun blonde. Today I go to pick them up and decided that I don't need the Summer Stash pigment stack. I returned it and just left with the other 2 items. I swore up and down that I would not get any of the pigment stacks because I've only used my SFC one once. However these colors are much more my speed and I'm going to make the effort to use these. Now on to Sun Blonde. I don't understand why I didn't pick this color up when I did my original purchase for Surf Baby. Im looking forward to wearing this on my inner 1/3 and tear duct area of my eye with Surf Baby on the rest of the lid. I believe I'm done hauling this collection.
