i wouldn't totally pass on it as i have heard positive thing from all different skin types and quite a few ma's told this is ok for all skin types everything doesn't work for everybody but it is worth a try, i have oily/combo/ance prone skin and this works very well for me ,though it didn't work for you Mac is one of the few foundation that don't break me out just get a sample and see if it work for you as only you can really judge what works for you

this is not the same as ST. the only thing they have in common is a natural finish. SSC is water-resistant, ST isn't. SSC is a full coverage, ST is medium.

sorry, your artist is a moron. for her to tell you you shouldn't wear it cuz your normal is retarded and unprofessional. i have dry people swear up and down by SF, and tho i wouldn't recommend it for their skin if they ask, i give em what they want.

this is for any skin type. like all foundations, any skin type can wear any foundation, its just that some are more beneficial to certain types based on coverage, finish, and personal taste.

SSF is more beneficial to dry skin because of themoisturizing properties and the glowy finish. normal skin can use this too. oilies can as well, but they may be turned off my the glow, so they'll wanna finish and touch up with a powder for more of a matte finish.

if you don't mind a glowy look, and want a med-full coverage, give this one a try. if you want that same coverage but not the glow, go with SFF. when picking your foundation you gotta take into account alot more than just your color-coverage, finish, formula, then color.

I got the foundation, concealer, and concealer brush today! Loveeee!!! I got Studio sculpt in NC30 and Concealer in NW30. This is my first concealer! My MA used it on me and it looked so great!!! Flawless.

yeah, she told me not unless I have dry skin. I said "well in the winter it's obviously a little more dry." She said "is it actually like flaking off kind of dry?" and I said no. So she says something like, I don't recommend it unless your skin is that kind of flakey dry.

It didn't make sense to me. I thought could all of the girls that got it at Specktra having flaking off skin? Doubtful...

I wanted to say, "I just want to try the damn foundation.. give it to me please!"

She's been there for 7 years too. She was super-nice... but the knowledge wasn't there for the new foundation line anyway.

I just want to try this stuff so bad. I'm not sure if I'd be nc 15 or 20. No chances of me getting back to a counter anytime soon, so if anyone here got those shades.. and are willing to spare any, please pm me.

I liked it a lot. You should get it but if you already have a synthetic brush then maybe not. I have a synthetic brush but I still got it. I really like the pointed shape.

I tried the concealer even though it really doesn't have a match for me. It faded wickedly fast. The foundation DEFINITELY doesn't have a match for me. That's all I really can say about this stuff.

So it contains Shea Butter.... I'm oily skinned and that just kinda screams HEAVY to me....Ive had a sample Ive used for a few days and i do get a bit oilier than with SFF but I just love the feel/coverage.
Im super acne-prone..... can other oily-acne prone ladies let me know ur verdict on the foundation?

Ahhh! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks this! I don't have a problem with finding a match for myself, but the concealer fades so fast and cakes up under my eyes. I really wanted this to work for me but I just can't get it to! Back to my usual Studio Finish.

The foundation also feels super heavy to me and I'm pretty used to full coverage stuff. This one just seems to seep out a ton of oil onto my face and I end up feeling gross. And it also seems to fade. I don't know why! So again sticking to my usual which isn't even MAC. MAC face stuff and I just aren't friends even though I wish we were!

What kind of powder do you girls use to keep away the shine? Blot powder, loose powder, something else?
I'm still intrigued by the foundation, but I need a good blotting product because I cant stand shine on my face.

Nothing can beat the MUFE HD loose powder. I repeat, NOTHING.
But please, don't try to get the silica powder from Coastal Scents, thinking that it would be cheaper or what... Yes, they are both pure silica powder, but they aren't milled the same way, and super fine silica powder, if inhaled, can cause some serious damages!

I have the same condition as you. The foundation doesn't feel heavy whatsoever but with an ingredient list that contains shea butter and glycerin, I can see where you are coming from. The best is to get a sample and try it out. This foundation makes my skin look dewy but I put on MUFE HD powder which is 100% pure silica to control my oil. Any powder that contains oil controlling ingredients will do.

I heard that TKB Trading also offers the same silica powder as MUFE and is considerably cheaper. It is also finely milled. The only downside is that you have to order a minimum amount and pay for shipping costs.

Personally I haven't tried it but I read some reviews comparing the two.

Seems like MUFE HD powder is getting a lot of raves, but I prefer a pressed powder though, more convenient for me.

Does it come in a pressed form? If not I'm probably be sticking with my Blot Powder.

Unfortunately it doesn't. I think the reasoning behind that is that if they were to create a press form, it wouldn't be 100% silica and there would be lots of fillers.
