When I bought my SS the MA said that you can mix it with moustrizer for a lighter coverage so I would assume this would work with strobe cream too. I have read some threads where other people are mixing with moustrizer for a lighter coverage. (I personally like the heavy coverage and feel like I need it so I haven't tried this though).

Let us know how the 180 works with it

I haven't really been able to get this foundation to work for me (YET) but I am determined...I seem to have trouble with it setting but I figured maybe I was applying too much? I'm going to try the stipple only method tomorrow, and then perhaps get the 191 or 180? Not exactly sure, but I WILL MAKE THIS WORK!! I absolutely love the texture and coverage..I love the dewy look it gives me. and it doesnt cause any breakouts...there must be a way...

This might sound like a stupid question, but if I wanted to get the concealer for undereye circles, should I get a one thats lighter than my foundation?

^^ I dont know about that, I always get a matching concealer, but whichever colour you get, buy the NW shade for under your eyes. It conceals the dark circles better because of the warm undertones.

I have always found it works best with one that is a lighter shade. For me personally, I find a yellow or green concealer hides my undereye circles the best.

Interestingly in the Studio Sculpt concealer the NC15 looks a lot better under my eyes than the NW15 does. Sounds weird, but that's what is the case.

One time my circles were Deep truth e/s meets Satellite Dreams e/s

The only thing that worked was me putting a matte orangey e/s (Tete-A-Tint) over it and then some concealer.

at first i didnt want to even think about trying this. then my mua gave me generous samples of a couple of shades of the ss, and oh my i LOVE IT! i have always had oily acne prone skin. but over the past couple of years my skin is.....'aging'......

i still have oilyness in the center of my face, but fine lines are starting to form. the acne is gone, but if i'm not stringent with my skin care routine pimples still can appear.

i've been using the samples given to me for 2 weeks now. and believe me i was worried about waking up with zits the entire time, but NO problems from this foundation. i like the finish it gives (i've been dabbling, ok 'stippling' it on with a 188 brush). i HATE looking oily and shiny faced, but this finish has really shown me the difference in how 'dewy' and 'oil slick' can look. i still like studio fix, but i like having this alternative for when i dont want a totally matte face.
i went back today and bought my shade: nw30. (i've been matched at least 3 times in studio fix fluid/powder in NC35) and she matched me in the concealer for undereye: nw25.

^I agree! I love my Studio Fix but I am starting to think that Studio sculpt may become my new fav! They are really different looks thouhg- you're right!

I recently bought the beauty blender sponge and I must say it's the perfect tool to apply this foundation. I dampen it like they say in the instructions, use a little of the foundation at a time: and there it is: perfect easy application flawless look

Oh and it took me half the usual time.

That sounds interesting... Can you get the Beauty Blender at a MAC counter or is it a pro item? I have never seen it?

There are plenty reviews of it on youtube. Kim Kardashian's MUA uses it on her aswell.

I suggest you just buy the 2 sponge kit and don't go for the cleanser... it's really expensive and any good cleanser can do the same exact thing.

But the sponge works wonders.

Hi guys/girls! I really want to try this foundation but I'm like an hour and half drive from my nearest counter plus I just had DS2 so I'm kinda housebound atm.. Just a quick question on colour matching with SS, I'm NC30 in Mineralize SatinFinish Liquid Foundation, would I be NC30 with SS too?? Any recs would be appreciated! TIA

I wear the same shade (NW25) in Studio Sculpt foundation and concealer as I do in the other MAC foundations. So my guess would be that you will wear the NC30 in the SS. Good luck

Alright. Here's a pretty dumb question. I'm desperately in need of help with the concealer.

So I got the concealer the other day in the mail. And I absolutely adore the the texture. But I have a problem. I'm having problems finding the best way to apply this. here are some of the methods I've tried:

1. patting it on with my finger and blend it out using fingers as well.
2. dipping my 217 into the pot to get a little bit of the product and swirl it on my skin.
3. dipping 217 into the pot to get a bit of product and apply it on the skin with a fast back and forth swiping motion. (if that even make sense)
4. apply using the 242 and blend out the edges.

So all of the method above did not give me the smooth airbrushed look that I'm hoping for. Keep in mind, I"m talking about the concealer.

It's either the concealer starts to gather up in in small clumps/spots or it'll look streaky. Ugh. I so want this to work, coz I love the texture and how it is easier to blend than Studio Finish concealer.

Am I using the wrong brush? Or wrong method? Or am I using too much product? I swear I'm not using a lot of products at all.

Really hope someone can help.
