I stopped by at my local Macy's to exchange a shirt i bought a few weeks ago and to my surprise the MAC counter was dead....no one around. When i went to the department i needed to go to, 20 minutes later on my way out, it was still dead. It was so weird....where have all the MAC addicts gone? lol

They are probably stalking the MAC website for the release of TT. Also, MAC has so many collections coming out that people are trying to decide what and what not to skip. If my Macy's had a MAC counter I would have totally been there.

Aww D: Call your store to see if they have more! I usually try to check the items in front of the SA or in the car right after I buy it so I don't have to go back or risk not being able to exchange it. I hate it when that happens Hope you can get it replaced!

I called as soon as I noticed it, and they are all sold out of it. I wanted Scarlet Ibis the most and got it plus a backup, so it's not like it's the end of the world.

i went and picked up some stuff this morning and got there early and waited by the door with others for them to open the doors (i was thinking they were waiting for the marilyn collection as well) and when I got to the counter I was the only one there! I looked around and swatched lipsticks for about 10min and decided which ones I wanted and no one else ever showed up! I was surprised, I guess people in my area didn't know about it! haha

Well it's all your fault, Specktrites. I don't wear red lipstick. I don't wear red lipstick. I don't wear red lipstick. And i am now wearing a red lipstick.

See, i went to the closest Macy's to pick up Forever Marilyn Beauty Powder and The Perfect Cheek Blush. There was that array of Marilyn red lipsticks, and, i thought, "what the heck, maybe i should try one on". One was too orange, one was too pink, another was just too red. So i tried on Deeply Adored, which is quite dark, and manages to be both a tad brick-ish (but not orange) and cool (but not blue). And i bought the darn thing!

It isn't my perfect red, but it's close. What i want ultimately may be a jot darker and a jot more neutral - i'll play with liners and mixing with other lipsticks. But i definitely don't look like Bozo the Clown! Who'da thunk?!

Oh, and there were hardly any people there shopping for Marilyn!

Well that's a positive! I'm sure they will be plenty of similar reds. Scarlett Ibis is beautiful, I kind of regret getting a back up myself.

There was not alot of people there actually just me and another girl. It was easy but one of the workers was giving so much attitude, she was telling me how the Marilyn Collection was the ugliest she has ever seen and has no idea why Mac would bring it back. SMH

Awesome sales tactic. I wonder what she considered a good collection?

I went in for a CP and came out with 2 more FM (in addition to the ones i ordered online). I'm so weak!!!

Was the entire stick out of the tube, or was it broken off? If it was the whole stick, pop it in the freezer for 20 mins and then gently push it back into the tube and it's good to go. No way to fix the smoosh tho
