Thanks for the info, Liba! The sparkles are not irritating my eye, my eyelids just look irritated - altho they aren't - and in a way that's unlike intentional red & burgundy shadows i have.Quote: Originally Posted by lilinahI ADORED the way Highly Charged (Rich purple with pink pearl) looked when i first put it on. Very sadly I returned it.
Now that it's coming back, i wonder if anyone knows of a lid primer than will keep it from changing.
You've had some other issues in the past with lipsticks and other makeup changing color on you, right?
Some people have a reaction to certain red dyes, which sounds a little like what you had. I don't think a primer will prevent that, although if someone came up with a pH neutralizing, eye soothing primer, I would buy that in a minute! A primer would probably help hold the sparkling pigments in a bit so they wouldn't get into the ducts and cause irritation, but that's about it. You might like Infra-Violet, because unlike most of the other Electric Cools, it doesn't have sparkle or frost at all. Dynamo is like that too.
So, yeah, gimme that pH neutralizing eyeshadow primer!
Back in the ooooold days - 1960s & 70s - many lipsticks became more orange or red on me - i'd love a color and in an hour or less it would be orange, which is not my color. That rarely happens now. But a couple of MAC's Sheen Supremes still do that - Asian Flower turns from a nice bluish lavender to bright fuchsia, which i do *not* like, and Blossom Culture turns from "Soft pink" to a pinky coral, but it looks ok.
