OMG! I started off with a $1500 cart because I usually only buy during the sales! Got it down to right around $400, added two PMG lipsticks and with taxes I'm over $500! I don't want to spend this much money but I want everything in my cart plus some other items!!
Yeahhhh....between the F&F sale, the first weekend of this sale, the second weekend of this sale, the Beautylish gift card event, and Ulta's FOUR 20% off coupons they've now sent me....

Guys, I went to Sephora and got the new Huda palette, another bottle of the CoverFX foundation (I told myself I didn't need it now, but I do) and a travel size perfume by Viktor and Rolf. I had to stop myself from getting the full size V&R perfume because it's almost $200(!) but it smells so good. I might have to get it eventually, but idk. Anyway, I almost bought that Natasha Denona palette after saying I don't need it! I got a Christmas bonus and I was reswatching it because there are like 5 stunning colors in it, but I ultimately put it back. I still don't think her brand is worth that price and I'll just wait for whatever Pat McGrath does next. Maybe she'll do a gold palette.

What do you think of the Huda palette? The look of some of those shadows is so unique. Also, which V&R perfume did you get?

I got the scent called Dancing Roses. It's amazing! There's this cherry scent to it and I wanna pass out in joy when I smell it.

The Huda palette is beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice. The mattes are so pigmented and there are like 3 or 4 unbelievably beautiful shimmer shades. I thought they were glitter, but there's only two pressed glitters. These shades have so much multifaceted shimmer I don't even know which one to use first. It's gonna be a really popular palette I can tell.

The ND Gold palette is my favorite palette of hers! When I first saw pics online, I thought what am I going to do with all those gold shadows but, much to my surprise, due to the different finishes, you can tell the difference on the eyes. I actually prefer it to my PMG palettes. It’s so hard to me that any palette over $100 is worth it but given the quality and amount of shadow this one is worth it. (Not trying to talk you into it, just sharing my opinion while the sale is on in case you change your mind).

Do you think you can get a variety of looks from the Huda palette? From some swatches and reviews I’ve seen, the colors look very similar. All the tutorials I’ve seen look very pink.

Thank you! I am now considering both haha

Looking at the palette I see several things I can do with it. At least enough to justify the price. There are pinks and browns in this palette, but I think it's a combination of color pairings and the complexion of the person that can amp up how pink the palette looks. I've seen tutorials where people say they are lacking transition shades, but I think it's a matter of preference because I see a good three shades that I can use. The best I can tell you is maybe look at it in person to see if it's good enough to you.

UGH! I am watching these VIB recommendation videos and these youtubers I trust are pushing this Gold palette on me. I hate this. I hate flip flopping and I can think of other things I can do with that money. I'm gonna end up with this palette aren't I? :shakehead:

No. Skip it! Different finishes or not, it's all gold! And 3 of the same matte brown shades! You have gold e/s in your collection. Fight it! ;)

I'm going to the Sephora later on today and I plan on grabbing :
Pat McGrath MTHRSHP Sublime Bronze Temptation Eyeshadow Palette
Artist Couture Diamond Luxe Luminizer Pressed Highlight in Honey Drip
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Whiskey
Too Faced Tickled Peach Mini Eyeshadow Palette
The store I'm going to is the largest in the area and has brands that are usually online only.
I was planning on using the Rouge Reward but apparently, you can't. If I honestly can't I'll be using it anyway and purchase some skincare at 20% off online. Either way, I win!
Skincare already in my basket includes:
Caudalie Brightening Set ( this is a replacement)
Caudalie Hydrating Set
Herbivore Moon fruit Treatment

Ooh Artist Couture Pressed Highlighter? I have to look into that one. I made a small order last weekend. I was too tired to shop. Can you believe it? I ordered the Marc Jacobs holiday highlighter brush and Dior Rose Gold holo lip glow? I think that is what it called and the Nars Hot Tryst Cheek palette. But can you believe they they cancelled the Nars palette? I didn't even realize it right away. I'm so miffed. I wonder if I could have bought it at Ulta. I did get a coupon but did not have time to shop there either. I made an order about 15 minutes before midnight. So not much thought went into that order. I hope to make another order this weekend. Does anyone know if there were any restrictions this time around? Like you can only use the online code once or something? Can you go in store too? Thanks. I'm enjoying reading about your orders. Giving me ideas.

*whispers* Those mattes are really nice though.

It's funny because I was thinking of my collection today when I almost bought the palette and I have maybe 3 gold eyeshadows. That's really a color I haven't touched in a long time. Those topper shades and the blue shades are making me hesitate because I don't care for them much. I'm probably going to another Sephora tomorrow and I'll see what happens.

See? You don't even use the golds you have.

Did you swatch the Safari palette in person? Can't remember if you did, what you thought of quality if so.

I did swatch it because I thought it would be my first big ND palette. It was awful.

She has this one wet looking gold shade in that gold palette and I wish it was sold as a single. It has Christmas all over it and I want it so bad.

Thanks for the info about Huda. I’ll check it out in person.

i know what you mean about the flip-flopping. There are a few Youtubers I trust (Stephanie Nicole and Puffins Wife for example) and I think they both recommended it. The brown mattes may look the same in the palette but I can tell the difference when I apply them. You can get a nice gradient of crease and transition colors when wearing them together. I’m very happy to have this one and it’s gotten a lot of use. I don’t have any gold shadows that perform quite this well.

have you considered getting it from Beautylish? They don’t have 20% off but you can break the payments into installments and they have their gift card promo going on now.

Those are the same youtubers I trust. I thought about beautylish but I think it’s best to get it from sephora just because I want my hands on things ASAP and I would like the 20% off. You know, I’m just gonna go ahead and try it because I keep thinking about it. I can definitely see the difference in the mattes by the way. They look and feel really nice.

Thanks for the reminder. Kept going back and forth, but that's the nail in the coffin I needed for the Safari palette.

Yeah, getting $25 off makes a huge difference. If you don’t like it, just return it. I’ve seen some pics of this on medium and darker skin tone and it looks amazing. Let me know what you think of it once you get a chance to use it.
