@GreenEyedAllie too! LOL! I am too ladies! I spent waaaaay more money than I truly intended :tear:...:mecry:

In fact, on my breaks this week I am writing my 2016 review/reflection for the 2016 thread and my plan of action for 2017 thread..both are still "coming soon"...coz I write frickin' novels...lol :type:

Luckily, I am not feeling the need to spend on anything right now...probably because I am taking the time to review my stash (actually looking at everything I have, how I am using it, quality of stuffs, FOTD & Date Night makeup results, etc.) and writing a plan of action based on the review.

I think I, too, am about to do a massive inventory/destash fur4elise

I went a little nuts with ColourPop, Kylie, and the UD Revolution discontinuation last year. I also had a bunch of subscription boxes on and off for 1-2 years (I never need mascara or black eyeliner ever again!), so there's lots I can part with. I've also managed to collect so many little samples of this or that, so I'm trying to work through those...that's especially easy with masks, shampoos, cleansers....less so with all the serums/eye creams/exfoliating products.

My goal is to be more purposeful in my buys, to try to only buy when I need to replace (this applies mostly to skin and hair care), and to shop my stash better when I see a new shiny.

That said, I definitely want this palette, especially since I do not own dupes...it's a great value, and I enjoy the little palette I have from last year (Cashmere?--the lighter, cooler one). I am also ok with some LE buying.

Lol @ Novels! I also spent way too much money and have hardly touched half the things I've bought. I also need to reorganise the way my stuff is stored/displayed (out of sight, out of mind for me) so that I can declutter and am better able to shop my stash. I think this palette may be LE but I've never known Viseart stock to sell out like that. I've budgeted for a little tiny splurge in Spring when Sephora does their sale so I may add that to my list depending on how I feel about it then.

I had, loved, and almost repurchased Backlight. Honestly just forgot to use my 20% off Ulta. Then I heard about First Light, so I waited.

First Light still has some shimmer to it but not as much. It's a lot more liquid. It smells a little like fruit loops, so I'm guessing that lemongrass/artificial lemongrass scent. It felt nice on, similarly light as BL. The violet doesn't show. My makeup is holding up well...first use today. It's subtle. More subtle than BL for illuminating. The model I saw was a WOC, and the difference was notable, so it could be something that works more noticeably on darker skin tones (or just misleading promos, lol). I will try to swatch comparison later. I also update my thoughts as I wear it more and with other foundations. Today is the MAC waterproof Prolongwear in the tube that launched last year.
So far, I would say get a sample or finish what you have first because, for me, there's not a huge reason to have both.

Thanks, only checking back now. Since I already have the unopened Backlight one, I decided to keep it. I like illuminating, heck I use the Sonjdradeluxe x Melanie Mills Peach Deluxe Gleam as a primer, lol.

So its been a while since I've been to this thread...hi ladies! With that said, sorry if im being redundant with these questions but I'm too lazy to read through the many pages I missed :).

Has anyone tried the new Burberry Lip Velvet liquid lipsticks? The price tag is a whopper but I like Burberry lip products. Also, if any of you own the new Tarte Pro eyeshadow palette, what are your thoughts? So much hate/hype surrounding it, I'm not sure what to make of it. I need another palette like I need to gain another pound but it's so purty. Since I'm not a Sephora employee anymore, I cant keep up with the newness as much.

I searched for a CoverFx thread, but could not find one.. So I guess I will post here. CoverFx is coming out with new enhancer drops that look gorgeous.. as well as a highlighting palette (haven't seen swatches for that though)...

You can pre-order the highlight palette and the setting spray now on their website.. no word when you can buy / pre-order the newest enhancer drops (besides GenBeauty).

I know I'm a little late to talking about the Viseart palettes, but I got the new Warm Mattes and the Le Petit Pro and I looove them both!
The only thing that makes me nervous about the LPP is that the pans look loose in there. Like they can be very easily lifted out. I don't know how to explain it. I tried gently pressing them down but they don't budge. So maybe they're supposed to be angled? :| Idk it just looks kinda sloppy to me. But they're firmly glued in there.
Here are some swatch photos! I've swatched them on my arm, using Colourpop's flat shader brush (which I loveeee). No primer. Facing an open window for natural light.

Le Petit Pro Palette. The creamy white shade is nice and pigmented. I'm just fair as hell and it doesn't really translate on camera. I use it to help blend and buff out the edges of my crease colors for a perfect looking transition.

(Okay, can you tell I haven't posted swatch photos in a while on here!? I have no idea how to fix the photo. It's rotated.)
Anyway, this is the Warm Mattes. So beautiful! I've been reaching for this palette every day since I got it. Either for whole looks or needing a shade here and there.

Here is a quick shot of the pans in LPP. See what I mean? It almost looks like the pans were glued in with a big dollop of adhesive in the middle, so they're all raised and not flat. Lol I am struggling so hard to describe this. Anyone else's pans look like this?

@laurennnxox ~ I think these are meant to be removable like the Theory palettes...a big reason I would consider this not necessarily a "pre-made" palette because I can resort the pans into my custom palettes for a better match/mix. ;) Thanks for sharing because you clearly answered a question I had about LPP! :five: Now it is definitely on my lust/must list!

Yeah, what fur4elise said. They aren't even glued in at all. You can fully remove them.

I think people have been liking the texture, but some are having issues with the colors once on the lips.

Are you happy not being at Sephora? Fun new career? Dish!
