Re nordstroms anniversary next month, my chanel sa told me it's going to be a palette with shadows and lips. She has not seen a picture yet. Iam wondering if it is the duty free one from last year I think?

How does everybody store their makeup?My mom and I are in the process of moving from a four bedroom house where I had my own makeup room to a 2 bedroom apartment. As a result, Ive purged a ton but because I have have an obscene amount of makeup, Im also taking a ton. I got rid of a ton of Mac, Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier. My Chanel, Dior and Guerlain remain untouched. As os right now, they are just in rubbermaid bins. I'm looking for good ideas as to how to store my pretties. The one good thing about not being able to display my makeup? I have no real urge to buy anything and just stuff in a box in the closet. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Sorry----I have a dedicated room w/drawers by product type------probably what you're transitioning from.

That's too bad if it's true-----mixed media palettes don't appeal to me at all.

I hate mixed media palettes, especially when they have lip products in them. They will melt and goop all over the rest.

Did some digging on this, it appears this is a sloppy seconds, as in it was released elsewhere and Nordie's picked up the leftovers. I could be wrong. However, this has occurred at previous Anniversary sales in years past.

Well I just emailed one of the Chanel product specialists at the Tysons Neiman Marcus to see if she has any clue about it so fingers crossed.

My Chanel sa showed me the promo info on this palette, and even she was very meh about it. She made the comment about how it would be a good starter palette for Chanel newbies or travel. She was a lot more excited about the upcoming fall collection.

Iam glad iam not the only one with this reaction, I am much more excited about the blue rhythm which no one knows anything about!
