ok...this maybe a dumb question and i'm sorry if it's already been answered in this thread but...who are all the previous icons? I only remember Raquel Welch, Liza Minelli, and Diana Ross.....did I miss a Janet Jackson ICON line? If not she would be awesome....

another possibility:
Twiggy - sorta campy (The Boyfriend) but not as well known an actress, but certainly a style icon.

Other possibilities I'd love to see:
Susan Sarandon
Julie Christie

Catherine Deneuve was another one, and that was a great collection IMO!

I wish i was using MAC more at the time of the Catherine Deneuve collection. I just missed it! She was so gorgeous in Belle de Jour. I think Sophia Loren would definitely be a MAC icon at some point. She's always had such a glamorous image and she's still amazing looking. And of course Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn would be so cool. I also would love to see a collection dedicated to the 40's Film Noir era. My favorite actress from that time is Lana Turner.

Interestingly, this month Sophia Loren is the star of the month on TCM, so if you want to see more of her, catch some of her movies! They should be showing alot every week! ^__^

Yeah, I don't think they would use Jane anyway, because of the whole controversy with her and communism back in the day, June 1972. She was referred to as "Hanoi Jane" and many spoke of her support for communism. Though she later denounced her support, and said she was forced to take the photograph that many talked about helped coin to nickname they gave her.
