MAC Glitter and Ice Discussion

You will love this one in combination with The Cool Elite

That's why I'm grabbing it!!! Even when The Cool Elite gives up the ghost, I'll still have an awesome buildable white shadow. In fact, it seems to me the reason I liked the sparkle in many of the Big Bounces was because they were obviously mineral based in the same family as the MES, just with that offbeat, second skin, rubbery base (which hid such a multitude of sins).

I have zero interest in any white eye products that are heavy, thick and opaque - they have to be light as air and just lay over my skin like a gentle fog, whether they're shimmery or matte.

Thanks very much to all who posted/ linked swatches! Snow Globe does look almost irresistible. Such Flare is gorgeous, but I already have soooooooooooooo many reds. I can't imagine it will be *that* distinctive...

Shimmermint and strike that pose (if it's not too similar to rare find) I like the sound of fresh ice but it looks very like mineral mode in the promo pictures Do you know if For effect pp is similar to blackground pp? The description says black but the promo pic looks grey

yeah i think it will be quite a sheer black which makes it look grey. i think they will be different

Went to check out the Glitter & Ice stuff yesterday. The first girl I asked had NO CLUE what I was talking about. She had to ask her coworker what Glitter & Ice was. Thankfully, he was like "It's the holiday collection, you can take her around the back and show her." How this girl managed to have no idea what Glitter & Ice was when the display was right in front of her face every time she went to the back room, I have no idea. She then proceeded to stand there awkwardly saying stuff like "yeah, there are lipsticks...and eyeshadow palettes.." Yeah, no kidding, I can see that!

So, yeah, that was kinda useless.

Snowglobe BP
Cool Face Kit
Sultry lip bag
Sultry eyeshadow palette

I kinda want 2 of the brush kits, but I'm worried about quality issues.

I have a counter and a store near me, and know a lot of the ladies well who work there. They do not allow B2M of any special packaging, that includes the prolong wear and sheen supreme , and will include the special packaging of this collection I think. The M.A.C store won't even take empty e/s with no pans in them (the counter will)

I don't understand their logic...isn't the point of the program just to encourage recycling....why all these rules? idgi.
