WOW! Thanks sweetness! I swear by my Arbonne skincare line, MAC MSF Natural buffed on with a 182 brush, Fix+ lightly sprayed on top (and that darn Lightscapade does the trick as a highlight FOR SURE)!!! That's what makes the RIGHT makeup so darn great!
PS Checking out your purple tutorial right now.... LOVE Purples! Yay!

I thought I'm going to pass this collection entirely, but I ended up with Soft Sable. It really looked great, especially when I put on Pleasure Principle over it. Did not buy Pleasure Principle as I thought Sephora had a dupe gloss in their private label collection for a few bux cheaper. was tempted to get their Gold eye set for the Woodsmoke e/s but realized I rarely use mascara and I think there might be a Too Faced dupe.

I got the special edition white brush set and the duo-fibre set and none of them feel any different from the full-size brushes. I've used Mac brushes exclusively for years now. No shedding either. I am really pleased because the tartan tale sets were scratchy and fall-out central! But these seem great! I'm thinking of picking up the essentials set tomorrow to get my hands on that mini 226... I can always give the other brushes away with the bag as a gift since I already have two or three versions of them. Lol

Awesome! I definitely have to check out the brush sets in store.

I guess MAC improved the quality of their SE brushes, but I haven't heard much good things about the brushes in the Fabulously Festive Face Kits

This won't help, but MAC MA told me the 282 SE and 286 SE are new brushes and limited edition. That's what pushed me over the edge lol.

The 286 full size is being released in the 1/5 Collection It's supposedly gonna be permanent. I'm sure the 282 will follow shortly.

If those 2 brushes are becoming permanent, then I won't bother backing up the set. I already have a 187, and the 130 is still available (and permanent, right?).

Really love my eye look today & I used the sultry palette :)

Base: Nubile pp in the inner part of lid, Half Wild pp on outer part of lid

Fun! = inner 1/3 of lid
Trax=middle of lid blended into Festive Delight
Festive Delight= Outer Lid & Crease
Shadowy Lady=to deepen outer v

Sorry no pics...crappy cell phone camera + neon lighting = not a good combo :(

I wonder if I got a dud.. my white haired SE brushes are quite scratchy. I seriously have $3 ELF brushes that are fuller and softer. Maybe I will check some out in the stores to see if they are any better.

Oh, and my winners for this collection:

Shimmermint over Let's Skate pp... it's like a Lightscapade for the eyes- but on crack.

The white-haired set at my store didn't impress me at all. The 212 flat liner brush was especially bad. Try them in action though. The full-size versions of those brushes are some of my favourites and work a whole lot better than they feel so maybe yours will too.

Got snow globe & it doesn't really work as a highlighter because my skin is as light as light as is. It just kind of looks like shimmery more beige skin on me & makes my pores look huge. I guess I should return it, even though I never return makeup. I need to stop buying things on impulse.

You know, I am NC10 (possibly lighter if i wanted to), and this looks very natural you just need to really blend it to work over pores but i found this to be an awesome layering product for ANY matter blush I have. I tried putting it over Sex appeal and desire. And I really really like it.

bought shimmermint, snow season and fresh ice MES + let's skate and for effect PP. the quality of the MES have been a lot better since tectronic or whatever with murcurial, lovestone, jupiter etc.

I put for effect all over the lid and patted shimmermint over and it is GODLIKE! (with blue brown pigment blended in the crease) I even put a blob of pixie epoxy on the back of my hand and wetted my brush to pat more shimmermint over and it is an amazing glittery shimmery sparkley metallic finish. I did have fallout, but thats why I do my foundation last. tape is good at removing fallout too :)

I love pixie epoxy, I'm thinking about taking it with me tomorrow so I can swatch the rest of the MES. Trying to convince DH to buy something....he's super frugal

it may work. I'll definitely swatch SG and HB to see which if not both I'll eventually end up with.

That's what it looks like on me too:( Also, Let's Skate is so close to the colour my my skin and all that shows is the gold glitter. It's really hard for me to find products that are light enough to be considered highlights and aren't a stark white. Oh well, we can't expect a colour to look good on everybody.
