I JUST got mine too!!!! And thank goodness because it was just confirmed to me that the UK has gotten all of Winterized that it is ever going to get! They said that the UK received 1,000 pieces of Winterized and that between the few stores that received them and mail order that they were sold out almost immediately.

Anyway, I am super stoked that I got one, and it actually has burgundy veining in it too! It doesn't have a lot of the lighter colors so it is quite dark, but if I use Hold That Pose along with it then I have all the lightness that I could ever need. Honestly this is such a spectacular and complex color, and I have nothing like it in my whole repertoire: A smokey purple where you can actually see both the blue and the burgundy, YUM!!!!

Has anyone in the UK received their Winterized mes yet? Mine came today!

Really? Thank God I phoned back when I did, and that is only because of this forum. Well, if it hadn't been for Specktra, I wouldn't even have phoned mail order in the first place, but once that b*tch fobbed me off the first time around, I had given up anyway. Then I saw here that people managed to order it and called back. 1,000 pieces doesn't sound too few though, stores normally only have 10-15 each, so where did they all go? I don't know of anyone who actually ordered it from the Mac website, and it was sold out before it even went up. I sense a conspiracy here, lol.

the mineralized brush set....i cleaned with brush cleanser AND the white fibers turned green!!!!!! and no i did not use any green product cos i only used them to contour.

That is not cool, I will have to remember to only wash with baby shampoo and not mac cleanser.

I ordered it on Friday around lunchtime.

Now that people have had a chance to play with the mineralised brushes at home- what do you think of the new eye shadow brushes? Are they worth getting?

I don't know what to do with my mineralize brush set. I think I might return it. The little face brush is so tiny, and the eyeshadow brush is really stiff (the paddle one, not the blending one, no idea of the numbers sorry). I just don't know if it's worth keeping. I got it with 20% off, but still. I haven't used mine because I want to be able to return it, and not sure you can once you used it. The big face brush is okay and so is the blending brush, but it's still a lot of money.




 

Yeah. I can't decide of I should buy the set or not. The travel sizes would be handy, I love the look of the handles and it has new eye brushes but the set had been getting mixed reviews and one of the eye brushed is being launched in the new year so I don't know if I should just wait for that. If I don't get this set I can treat myself to one of the Armani eyes to kill shadows and/or one of the Chanel hybrid style shadows (can't think of the name of them)

ermmmm that is not good and normal! maybe try baby shampoo and see if they go white again?

Weirdddd I actually washed mine last night and nothing green. Can you try washing again?

No problems here with the mineralized brush set. Nice for travel but will still pick up the full size for home use. Have washed mine with both MAC brush cleanser and Dr. Bromers with no problems.

Yeah, I honestly have no idea where they went especially since I called 6 stores in London (including the Pro store!) And nobody got any! I'm sorry but if you didn't send them to London.........where did they go???? At least I can cool my jets now since mine showed up, PHEW. And if anyone is still losing their minds over it they can have someone in the US do a CP since it is still available there.

because it is!!!! It is literally made out of the exact same colors (navy, burgundy, silver and gold)! I am cool with having both though, as it is pretty much the most spectacular combo ever! I will post pics as soon as I find the cord to my camera.........

I have got my hands on Shimmermint MES!! It is really gorgeous!!! I have visited a PRO store for the very first time and it is awesome!!! I saw this collection in person finally and everything is so pretty!! I backed up Pleasure Principle d/g since that dazzleglass is gorgeous!! I will haul some more on this collection next week.

I think it might cos my cleanser has alcohol? I dont know. But it's pretty ugly now.... damn. The fact that alcohol could have made it green tells me those "natural" fibers were tinted....

The white fibers in MAC dual fiber brushes are always synthetic. That's why they're so soft and bendable....it's the dark fibers that are natural, at least in the full size ones.
