Thanks for the clarification erine! :) I was confused. I looked at the color story and I didn't see liqueur but the pic was posted. Too bad it didn't make the cut.
Yeah I'm pretty sure this is the first time this has happened. Something similar happened with TT and Tropica, unless that was just a typo when the info was given (i dunno as i never saw the update book info). As you see, it's not listed, but with MAC's recent history, you never, it may pop up :dunno:

Nope. She said she gets the samples, and as we saw with the links that were posted a few weeks ago that also included liqueur, some items are dropped or changed from releases after samples are sent out. As you can see, it's not in the release.

It does! I just might be able to skip it then! Liqueur? Yeah it's not in the collection.
That sucks...I wanted Liquer ; (

I am always drawn in by the pics, and I'm excited about what I see. BUT i'm like you now. I want to play in other brands, have to be more selective (finally bought my car) and I am not getting through my products I have. There is stuff from Archies I haven't touched. While I love the look of the fluid lines, and glosses. I want to try Nars' instead and I'm in LOVE with their fall collection. But as I say this, I'm sure something will draw me in. It always does.
I was thinking the same thing.
oh come on, we aren't going to stop. LOL
I definitely have to force myself to use the things I buy - if I've bought it, I'm darn well going to crack it open and get some use out of it. But, there were plenty of nice products, especially lipsticks, that haven't gotten the love they deserve. I'm only starting to wear Boyfriend Stealer more lately and Ronnie Red has been seriously neglected lately too.

One thing I jut don't let myself do is switch around to a lot of other brands. MAC's prices have gone up, but I still think they've got the best style to tech to price ratio of the higher end brands, so even when I see something in another line I like (like those adorable Dior shadow palettes with the stars) I just say NO to myself.

One thing I'm not going to allow myself are the shadows if they're too shimmery, because I think we will see these colors in other formulas - there are a few of the new pressed pigments that are similar and by the time holiday rolls around, there will probably be more extra dimension shadows and who knows what else.

Yay makeup porn! Everything looks divine! The lippy on the right reminds me of Gel lipstick. Before I went MAC crazy that was my most used lippy.
there are few thing I may like!! Such as the pink blush creme, and I need to see swatches of the eyeshadows.. Love, eat reminds me of Emerald dusk pigment!
Omg I will freak out if it looks like the emerald dusk piggie. That's one of my absolute favs! A pressed version of that
I just had a morning fap session to these pics :haha: (Warning to you googlers.. please don't click images I was only kidding) :lmao:
Fap....:lmao: thats such a funny word to use for that act. Makes me giggle everytime I see it lol

I have more MAC than any other brand, but I do branch out. It doesn't make sense to me to limit myself to just MAC when some others have great alternatives. I prefer NARS blush to MAC - it lasts far longer on me. I also love their light reflecting powder. I have a few e/s duos and lippies too - NARS is definitely my #2 brand. I have a few Benefit products I really like; Watt's Up and a couple of creaseless shadows. I like them enough to deal with the fact that they're (gasp) not in black packaging.

One of the reasons I don't reach for some other brands is because I loathe bulky packaging. I like that MAC/NARS blush and e/s don't waste space; nothing I hate more than a palette that's easily double the size it needs to be just so there's a lot of plastic trim around it or so a cheap brush can be included. Hate that.

Hm. Just caught up on the new collections. There's nothing in any of them that I'm jonesing for. I may check out Tarnished Temper, Divine Decadence and Eat, Love from this collection. I want to see swatches to see how close they each are to colours I already have. Bronzes/greens/golds are my favourite eye shadow colours so I already have a lot. I love fluidlines but I already have seven open ones in rotation and also use Eclair and a couple of my Benefit cream shadows as liners sometimes. Not sure Tarnished Temper is different enough from what I have to justify it.

No real interest in adding to my makeup collection lately. It feels like I have everything I could ever need. Meh. I think I'm cured.

I cracked up after reading what you posted. I totally feel you on this. I feel like I have enough and have not felt like adding much to it. I can't seem to enjoy it because there is so much that most of it just sits there waiting to expire. I feel cured too. I still buy but not by the bulk.

The extra expense for heavy, overdone packaging holds me off from a lot of the other brands too. I like the option of portability.

Also for me, I've made some personal friends over the years with my MAC buddies, and so I've got a little allegiance there too!

I hear you. I'm not a fan of clutter and having too much of something greatly diminishes my enjoyment of it. I have a carefully organized single drawer of makeup and an acrylic case that hold all of my nail polish. I'm more than a little anal; my polishes are numbered (to match my colour wheels), organized by colour and carefully documented in an Excel spreadsheet. There's no room left in the case so I'm done collecting. If a new one is coming in, I will let another one go. I'm now at that point with makeup as well. I went crazy on blush last year and went from 2 to about 20. While I enjoy what I have, I have to admit that the slight differences in colour/finish are often not particularly apparent because I apply blush with such a light hand. So unless a new colour gets invented or a gorgeous powder is released that I just can't resist, I'm done with that category. I seriously doubt that I'll hit pan on any of them (although I have dips in Deep Throat and Douceur).

I recently made a group of my daughter's friends happy by pruning my makeup and nail polish collections. My daughter took pics and put them on one of her Facebook groups; it was like feeding time at a shark tank. I'm happier when I have a collection that's just the right size for me and I'm happy to have found good homes for what I wasn't using. I can't be bothered trying to sell my mistakes; the cost is sunk so passing it on is a win for everyone.

I think I'm gonna go for the Nars "Ride Up to the Moon" palette and skip the shadows. There are a couple of similar shades and that palette as a whole will suit me better. But I may still pick up Palace Pedigreed since I have no purple/plum eyeshadows.

Sweet Succulence could be nice, and I'm all for vampy lips this fall, but Dominate just came out. Fixed on Drama from Retro Matte and Talk That Talk will be out soon enough. And then there's always Smoked Purple and Cyber. I don't need a ton of similar colors but I can't decide on which to get...

Utterly Tart and Ultimate Dish look nice. Everything else looks like a skip. I don't even use Blacktrack so would I ever use a gold fluidline? Probably not.
