Sexpectations is disappointing.

I've got my eye on a couple of the shadows. I'm extremely fussy about what I'll add to my vast collection - especially an expensive single that won't fit in a palette. I'll have to see them in person to check out the texture and finish. Metallics are tricky business.
I'm not a big fan of opaque, liquid lip colours but I do like the look of the true red so I might get that one.

She did say she was swatching colors over other colors, so it's very possible some of the darker shadows are going to look quite a bit darker than in the video, so time will tell. At least you can see how pigmented and metallic they all are
and how gorgeously they all sheer down (LOVE THAT).
Meanwhile, I think I practically keeled over at those lip colours swatches. Holy Moly the blue is miiiiiiine
Love Peck and Exxxhibitionist are still 100% on the list. I love that glossy texture. Something tells me you will need healthy, well-conditioned lips to make these last well, if they have wear problems. However, I'd be pretty surprised if MAC allowed a brand new product they are rolling out in such a huge way have such crappy wear times - something seems fishy, like maybe she over-applied them or the like. I found the Dare To Wear glosses held up MUCH better if you did one thin coat and let that dry fully before adding an extra coat (if you even needed that extra coat). Slathering those on really cut down on their lasting ability.

I was watching the video without sound because I had music on, which essentially means I just looked at the swatches without knowing what anything was (other than Odalisque, which is pretty distinctive looking). Can't say that the shadow swatches knocked me out. I'll check them out in person, certainly, but all of a sudden, it doesn't look like I'll be spending as much as I thought. Of the lipsticks, only the two I expected to like appealed to me.
That said, it did seem that she had her hands full (figuratively and literally) trying to shoot the video and get the swatches, so it's possible that the lighting and camera played more of a role than usual.
On a complete side note, I really love the style of the girl doing the video- jacket & hair piece look absolutely adorable- very retro.

^ I agree -- the girl is cute, but she had so much going on it did not showcase the products, which I assume should be the point of the whole vid.... anyway, she herself did not know the names of the ES or the ls... lol. And, the background noise added to the confusion. Give her an A for effort tho !

I feel the exact same way!
As much as so many people love the Starflash formula, I am one of the few who wasn't crazy about it. They seemed to blend away into nothing and crease more easily on me. And for some reason, just didn't look that great on my eyelid.
I know I am in the minority on that one, but it makes me hesitant to try this new formula. Especially at the higher price and non-palette friendly size.
Although the texture of the Kissable lipsticks sounds really nice - like a Cremesheen with more coverage - bring it on! I just don't know if any of the colors are doing it for me. I'll have to wait for some more swatches.
Arrghhh. I can't believe this is being released next week. Along with Mickey C!!! Yeesh. MAC is once again rolling out collection after collection and with the gag order on swatches/info, it is so much harder to make well informed purchases or get excited about the products being released. I sound like a broken record. But really, I think it is a poor business decision on MAC's part.
But anyway, I'm really more excited about the Mickey C collection. The sultry eyes, the pretty fluidlines, the blushes....
(I hope this collection isn't too limited that I am not able to get what I want from it!)
I'm trying to be more thoughtful in my MAC purchases, and I think my money will be spent there.
And then I wait for Wonder Woman (which I am holding out hope for - despite what has been seen so far)

Here's hoping that the delivery people manage to tunnel their way through to the store before you.
I'll definitely be taking a swing past the pro store here, to see if they've resumed their usual habit of launching a week earlier than other places. TT and the two Dec. 26th collections went out at the same time as everybody else, but I think those were exceptions.
