MAC - Stylistics Discussion

I think I am passing on this collection. 20.00 for a lipgloss which I do not like the texture of. Nah, I will pass, and get two pro pan eyeshadows instead!

And I agree with Natalie_Necro, kind of a leftover job, but still funky.

Sorry if I've missed the answer here, but is the Stylistics collection only going to be available online? Or will it be made available at all counters? I'd have done the Live Chat thing, but apparently, they don't work 24-7 LOL

I hate not being able to see something in person before making a decision about buying ...

Yeah, I remember last year the lipglosses were super, super sheer.

If I'm going to pay that much for a compact, I'd rather it be timeless and classy with really nice swarovski crystals (and not those dull black "rhinestones" they stuck on MAC couture's compacts either!) I guess I'm just picky!

LOL. i loved bedazzling things when i was younger!!! i think that's what is so fun about the collection. i prefer this year's collection over last years, but still waiting to see what it looks like irl!

A few questions...

1. What date is this released in the US?
2. Is it going to be released internationally? (eg. Australia)
3. Is the 224 brush short-handled or long-handled?

Mmmmm if the mystery powder in Model Chic is light enough (I'm an NW20) for me, I'm definitely getting it! So fierce!

Can anyone tell me - can I use my Mac Pro discount on this collection, or is that a no-no like the other holiday stuff? The thought of paying $45 for pressed powder IS a little mind-boggling . . .

The discount will only be available to employees, and that's only after December 13th.

Re: Stylistics Discussion

remember that in the powders, you get an extra aswell (the refill)... in canadian dollars it worked out to paying for two powders plus another $4 or something like that

I know that everybody basically assumed this, but there were some doubts, so officially - my MA confirmed for me that the Mystery Powders DO come with a refill.

Re: Stylistics Discussion

Maybe this has been addressed somewhere so my apologies if it has but other than one being loose and one pressed how do the Sheerspark powders in this collection differ from the new loose Beauty Powders? TIA!!

Re: Stylistics Discussion

We got in our Stylistic shipment and I do believe this might be my favourite collection of this year that MAC has put out.

Everything is gorgeous and definitely not tacky at all. It's so pretty, to say the least.

And the brush is actually the #224 -- I don't know why the picture is of the #227 but I opened up the box and it's definitely the #224. I know for a fact I will be purchasing the brushes -- they're gorgeous!

Re: Stylistics Discussion

How forgiving are the Mystery Powder shades? I've never used MAC foundations, powders, etc but I range from Porcelain to Nude in Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser. Would Model Chic work for me?

Also, has anyone seen Soft Pout in real life? Thoughts?

Re: Stylistics Discussion

I'd love to know, too, any thoughts on In Vogue l/s and Warm Ice p/p from anyone who's been able to see these in person
smiles.gif
.

Is the l/s shade comparable to anything MAC has out already, or has put out before? And is the p/p super sparkly, or does it add a hint of glow?

Many thanks for any help!
