Thanks to a Mother's Day gift certificate to MAC from my boys and hubby, I'm starting to finalize my list!

Short Shorts e/s
Swell Baby e/s (I'm bringing UD S&M to compare to)
Bust Out l/s
Guilded White pencil


Maybe
Surf USA e/s
Girl on Board l/g
Strange Potion l/g (I have Pink Lemonade, so I'll compare the two)

My list has changed a lot since swatches coming out. I originally wanted My Paradise... but after seeing how orange it is I think my uber pale and slightly red face would just look sun burnt. I'll probably go for Sun Blonde and Saffron e/s (since I have nothing like either of them) and Strange Potion. The reduction to my list is making my wallet happy if nothing else ^_^

I actually plan to swatch all of these in the store, because I really need to see them against my skin tone. UTA looks more like an intense mauve shade on me, rather than a "true purple". Rebel casts a bit pink... I think I'm subtly convincing myself I need Bust Out, actually. Which would not be the end of the world, assuming I don't go crazy and buy other things.

my goodies will be arriving today! well apart from surf usa of course which nick only ordered on friday night (i think!) you bet i will be doing a FOTD tomorrow using my stuff!

After seeing the swatches on Temptalia, I'm only interested in checking out the following 3 products:

- Short Shorts e/s. It looks like a very mild goldish white. Want to compare it to Solar White which I have 3 of & my other goldish whites to see if it's a must have.

- the gilded white powerpoint pencil

I like the teal pencil, but I have 2 jars of blue peep & a bunch of teal e/s & pigments that I can easily combine w/ eyeliner sealer for lining.

- Hibiscus & maybe Bust Out! Not a fan of MAC l/s & not much of a lipstick wearer -- maybe 4x a day at most: before walking into work, mid-morning, after lunch & mid-afternoon.

After realizing that there won`t be any funds for this collection, I looked up swatches and dupes and in a google search I found that Pink Lemonade is identical with Strange Potion on a medium skin, and I`m good with that, and with the closeness of Nars Luster and My paradise. I`m not that sad anymore :)

No, I bought Speed dial and Samoa silk as well, but just ooooone little e/s from Surf Baby. I had to really think about when I was going to use a bright yellow e/s and the answer was - not very often at all. Plus, I have some laying around that already doesn't get much love.

My order has arrived according to it's tracking. FINALLY! I am at work though so I will have to wait until later to check it all out.

I am going to start reviewing it on my blog later (I wont put pictures up here because it will take me double the time and I wont get through much of it if I do that) and I will post here when things are going up so you lot can see swatches if that is okay. I'm so flipping excited to get home! I just hope I get time to take photos of everything before it gets dark. I will try to do them in the garden so I have natural lighting because someone said (Piparet I think - sorry if I've spelt that wrong) that they didn't trust Temptalia's swatches because they are under artificial lighting.

thanks! when it finally arrives! i am still waiting! i did get about 12 nail polishes today though so i am super happy! hee hee!

Tiff!!! *hugs* -- it's slated for May 26 but I think there's a chance it could come out earlier. Just a tip to watch out a week or two in advance (or do Pro store) but otherwise it's scheduled for May 26th!

OK, here are my swatches, as my order finally arrived today.

First, taken in bright sunlight
Across the top: Hibiscus, Bust Out!, Good Lovin'
Bottom row: Short Shorts, Sun Blonde, Swell Baby,Surf USA, Big T (as I seem to remember someone wanting to see a comparison swatch)





Indoors
I added Cool Heat to the end of the bottom row to help with comparisons





Finally, Surf USA and Big T side by side. In the sunlight they looked identical, but Big T is definitely more blue. It showed up much clearer indoors

The more I think about it, I think I might skip Hibiscus. I am a sucker for getting caught up in the hype, but realistically I won't reach for it much if at all. I don't really wear reds (or at least it looks really red to me in swatches) and am more into softer looks. I am thinking about getting Mocha in its place. Krazy Kahuna is out too. It's a beautiful color, but again not something I'm likely to wear.

I don't want to miss out on Surf USA but since it swatches similar to Gulf Stream then it most likely is going to look a lot like waternymph, which I already have.

It launched here in Denmark today. It is such an amazing collection. The last MAC collections have been a total skip for me, but this one is so great.

My thoughts:

Hibiscus is IMO nothing like TOxic Tale, Cyndi or what else I have heard. It's is so pretty and quite it's own. It's NOT like VG Cyndi. At all. It-s much pinker and more peach. Cyndi is much more red. It's much less in your face than Toxic tale. It's such a pretty pink/peach coral, perfect for summer and very wearable. It's actually very luster like. It's NOT your usual cremesheen. It's much more creamy and a bit more seethrough than your usual cremesheen. Very luster-like.

And I love Strange Potion to death, but I have that from VV.

The bronzers are really the stars of this collection. Like I have said before, the Careblend Pressed Powders are AMAZING and the sticks are great too. And Solar Riche is such a great colour. Bt noone seems to notice these. But it's such a shame!

The shadows are great! Some of the best we have seen in a long time. VERY pigmented and smooth, Temptalia must have a lot of flash on her pictures, there is not a lot of sheen on these. My pictures are without flash and I think they're more accurate in this case. They're not very shiny. They're all amazing. Except Short Shorts. It's very much like nylon, we have seen it a 1000 times before.

My Paradise.... Well it's pretty. But do you guys know how many peachy/orangy blushes I own allready, that I don't even use?

The suntints are IMO the true stars of the show and noone notice these either. They contain Avobenzone, which means they contains sufficient UVA protection. I know of only a handfull other lipgloss with SPF that does that. Most only has UVB protection. These will keep you lips safe in the summer unlike most glosses with SPF factor and are truly great in that way.

The Surf the Ocean pigments are amazing. Incredibly pigmented and so smooth. VERY metallic. The copper one and the deep blue/green are amazing. But I HATE the packaging. It's so impractical, and the reason I am not getting it. If these were in regular pigment jars I would get them.

That was my opinion, hope it's of any use :)
