I don't understand how Surf the Ocean could have sold out that fast? the last I looked, the price was still at $0.00, then it was sold out all of a sudden.

apparently it was never for sale. It just went from 0.00 to sold out. Idk how that happened. lol maybe they needed to reserve the stacks for counters. whos knows?

Well. I checked the status of my order from this morning, and now it says "backordered". sheesh. i can't wait to get my ID card in the mail so i can avoid some foolishness. even if just a little.

For the life of me I don't know how a department MAC counter is out of anything from the Surf Baby collection (this is a first for me) when the collection hasn't come out yet, but whatever. I can see if they didn't get certain products in (that has happened several times and I'm A OK with that). Luckily I have back up counter I can always count on, but this is getting stupid (the hunt). I wasn't able to go to the pre-launch party at MAC stores and I can see it selling out there, but not at counters (I'll get down to the bottom of it Friday - ha!). Vent over. Yes, I came here to vent.

They don't charge you until it is sent right? One of my items is now backordered to and I'm tempted to just call to cancel it and just get it on thursday.

Nothing seems to be sold out on the Canadian site. I still don't understand why I never got my automatic confirmation email with my order. And how will the express shipping work if it's a holiday today?

I am so mad right now! I ordered my Hibiscus really early last night, got second day shipping, got my confirmation, and now I check on my order status and it's backordered.

The limited availability is driving me crazy. It's kind of turning me off right now. Why should I scramble for a really LE, super hyped item when I can probably find an equivalent from a brand who doesn't make their customers suffer like this? I'm kind of done with MAC, atm.

Hell- I know I'll go in first thing on Thursday anyway. *rolls eyes*

Yeah same here. And if we're all really honest with ourselves, most of it is dupeable by better brands anyway. I like MAC because it's decent for the price point, but not enough to pull all nighters for a chance to MAYBE get a blush.

I've had a couple of instances where I didn't get the automatic confirmation for a couple of days, despite the fact that everything was fine, so don't let it worry you. The holiday means that today doesn't "count" as a shipping day, do it'll take a day longer than usual to get your stuff.

I just called CS to see about canceling my order, and the rep told me they're getting another shipment in at the end of this week. So, I'm not gonna cancel it- I'll wait it out and see how long it takes.

I better not get a backorder notice from mac because bordered hibiscus the second t was available. No hesitations. These games are stupid. I've been saying for the longest that these collections should be made available for a limited time, not in limited quantity. They know the demand is high, but they like to play these games. They like frenzy and they know it will continue when certain products are repromoted. hboy:

I was so tempted to do overnight shipping for $10, but I'm already spending more than I should on this collection, so I decided to make myself suffer and wait.

Orders won't be processed in Canada until tomorrow since it's a holiday today. And I didn't get an automatic email with my order either.
