I didn't like Raquel Welch, after I saw her being interviewed on TV and she barely knew a thing about her collection. She seemed incredibly unimpressed with being an "icon" for MAC and that's when I realized they may not get paid for the gig, because she didn't want to promote it, it seemed.
In any case, it has to be someone well over 50, otherwise they aren't icons, they're just famous.

my mum just came in my room and said 'do you know who the new face of MAC is?" and i was like who?
and she said Dame Edna (ilovegreen had already mentioned him)
i was like whos he? lol and she explained hes an australian comedian who dresses as a woman with the big glasses

While I don't think she is "iconic" at all, if the rumors are true, I think this will be a really fun collection. I am anxious to see what they have is store...
