I bought all the pigments that were limited edition. I do want a msf. Think I'm passing on lipsticks.

I was just watching Allison Wilburn MUA on youtube and she used fleur d'coral on her video! I love her tutorials btw:)

She said she first lined and filled in her lips with subculture, then applied fleur d'coral

I guess I will just ask my lovely ladies at MAC to give me a Stereo Rose with lots of veining and coral tones. I'm oficially obsessed with Petal Power blush, it is perfect for summer. And I'm waiting to see swatches of the pigments on Temptalia to make up my mind. Now I'm doubting Snapdragon but I really love the shade, MAC has nothing like that in their collection. They should make a satin version of it, would be so gorgeous!

And I have to say, this round of SR does look great. I actually never use my SR but I think the new one makes a great highlighter. To buy or not to buy.. that is the question.
My 2009 PT doesn't look like Temptalia's 2009 swatch, either. It's peachier, like the 2014 one, but deeper peach and slightly pinker. In the pan, it's got all the veins she had, but just less of the lavender and pink. Mileage really varies, even in the same launch.

I think most anyone would be okay with this if they had the opportunity to shop the MSF in the stores. The problem is that so many people are stuck with having to roll the dice with an online purchase, especially with LE items selling out so fast. You have no time to comparison shop. None.

The thing that has me irritated about PT, is that Mac itself described it as being pink. They promoted it as if it were the original PT. Peach and pink are clearly not the same colors. I know my colors Mac.....
I'm wearing PT now and it is TOTALLY peachy on me, no matter how hard I tried to get only the slight purple vein.. and I wanted a pink as I have enough peach.. so I'm sending mine back.

So I've been reading about HH being similar to plumful. Anyway to see a comparison? Can't really afford HH and can get plumful once I can. TIA!

im counting on you ladies to post pictures when you get your goodies! Maybe ill get something.....this collection doesnt give me that heart beating fast feeling. I cant believe PT doesnt look the same from the last release> i almost thought about getting pt and sr but after careful consideration and you ladies help, i saw that they really wouldnt be right for me. it seem like mac is messing up with there products in fact i have a few complaints of my own, i dont think they work hard to please customers anymore and for that im slowly looking the other way at different brands, they a bit more pricer but seem to be better quality and more varitey since mac wants to repromote and make the same shades with different names. im over it.

This is particularly problematic for someone like me who literally only has maybe 3 or 4 peachy face products I can pull off and not look utterly foolish in. I am just so cool toned I can't really pull peach off on my face. Pink is my go to, or lavender. I'm just so bummed. Mineralized products are my fave and I feel like they have all but abandoned cool toned products in terms of the MSFs, MES, and MBs whereas there used to be such a better balance. Last summer's collection was a disaster in that respect as well, as was Après Chic (I think that was the name of the one SR was re-released in). I have to look back to the summer 2012 collection to find more than one or two mineralized products that actually work for me.

Ladies,

one of my biggest jobs was with MAC ... it was during the times when we worked like dogs on a major launch like V.Villans, HK, MContractor, Mega Metals and others -- and I felt proud to help with the production of the fine items in those lines.

I am not saying MAC is putting out inferior products -- there are many excellent products but I have noticed that MAC has become about big name hype and less content as far as products (the Huggable ls being a recent exception).

Don't write off a company like MAC because FoF was not a well thought out or confusing product line up. I am sure those of you who are unsatisfied will be able to return your items and next time.. just next time, don't jump in and order something you have not seen. If anything the message MAC should get is that it's customers want to see, feel and try before they spend their hard earned cash on products which don't approach their expectations.

best of luck to all,

HG
