MAC - Peacocky discussion

I am so overwhelmed with this collection! I freggin want all the shadows, but in reality theres no way to get them all. The colors are pretty standard, but the formula of these are whats reeling me in. I love metallic eye colors hence why I love me some Urban Decay shadows. But these new shadows are simular in pigment without the glitter that a lot of UD's shadows have. There are 9 that I want and that totals 156$ thats just too much for me to spend right now. I'm trying my hardest to cut my list down but its SO hard!

I need some help ladies! Which of these do you think I should cut?
Top of the Posh- (I've been waiting for a nice light pink. My UD Hotpants broke and my pink platinum metal-X shadow doesnt blend very well)

Odalisque- I have like 4 teal colors do I really need another? It's one of my fav colors though. I have partylicious pigment but the new pigment jars can be frusterating. Also have the teal MUFE Aquacream, but it can be very hard to blend.

Dalliance- I'm getting Prance for sure? Do I need this one?

Sexpectations- Pretty, but do I NEED it?

Dandizette- It's such an amazing blue! And I dont have many blues. Birds and Berries is not that pigmented for me and is hard to get the color. Deep Truth has always been on my list, but this one is darker which I like

any help would be AWESOME!

Have you tried applying it with a 239 and then blending it with a 217? Also, you can just apply it directly with the 217 and that way you can apply it little by little until you get as many layers as you want. I don't have a problem blending mine.

The things that made me forget about the shadows are A-I haven't been wearing shadow lately, B-There isn't one color in this collection that I don't already have and C-$20 for a shadow is craaazy.

I saw the collection in person today and the eyeshadows are gorgeous! I only swatched Odalisque, Mating Call, Ego, Prance, So Vain, Vanity Fair and Woo Me. I cannot wait for this collection to come out!!!

- Her Greyness: I actually had blue hair once on purpose! I used some wash out smurf blue dye for a Vegas trip, and it turned out to be permanent. I had blue hair for weeks...
- WHAT IS UP with some of the stuff in the goodbyes section now?!?! All of those Shadesticks??? Tete-a-tint and Prussian? Base Light Paint? Fail.
- I'm totally chickening out of getting Peacocky. I can't rock that color, and what's worse...I know I won't even try and it'll sit in my cabinet ignored and waste my cash.
- I really like the swatches of Center Stage! It looks like it might be dark and cool enough to be close to the darkest shade in Chanel's holiday quad that I really love!
- Shontay: Happy birthday in 19 days!
- I'd like to only get 1 of the lighter eyeshadow shades and I can't decide between Dalliance, Prance and Tweet Me. Thoughts from anyone?

-Don't chicken out on Peacocky. I almost did, but I'm thinking someone is gonna rock this in a way that is going to make me wish I had bought it. Either that or I will find my own way first. You never know. You can return it.

I think you should get Top of the Posh since you are actually lacking a light pink in your collection. Since it's so work-friendly, I think you would wear it often enough to justify having such a huge e/s in that color. I think you should skip Odalisque. It's beautiful, but teal is teal is teal. You only have one set of eyes. How many teal e/s does one need?

I think you should decide between Dalliance and Prance. The two aren't sufficiently different when blended out to justify both. Go with Prance.

Nope, you don't need Sexpectations. I also think you should skip Dandizette and purchase Deep Truth e/s in the pro pan form instead.

None of the colours look super unique. Either fill in a gap in your personal collection or get a colour that you tend to wear a lot (remembering that this is a big pan). If these are super blendable then maybe a darker shade that you can do a simple smoky eye with?

I have decided to be very smart with my makeup buying in the New Year. My collection is ridiculously large and I don't even wear makeup on an everyday basis. I have stuff unopened that dates back to "To The Beach"...the madness has to stop somewhere! Therefore, I am limiting my MAC hauls to under $100 per collection...only the most unique items or the ones I will use will come home with me. After viewing swatches and dupes my list is as follows:

e/s - Tweet Me, Spectacle of Yourself, and Papparrazz-she
l/s - Scandelicious

I was considering Noir Plum but I have PtE, Smoke and Mirrors palette, and some of the permanent purples. I haven't worn purple e/s in like 6 months, so no need to add to the pile. Same thing with Odalisque...I have Strike a Pose, Parrot, Teal p/g and so forth...all of the nuances do NOT show up on the eye in my opinion. I also really wanted Peacocky but I have to be realistic and know that I will never wear it...if I do I will just get the OCC lip tar...close enough for the rare occasions I would want to look like a smurf by the lips. I was looking forward to Exxhibitionist but one of the unopened items that I have in my stash is Viva Glam Cyndi...I have to stop this ish!

Thanks for your suggestions!! I really appriciate it! I need to cut down, plus love for my first love... clothes, is starting to come back. Some gorgeous clothes just arrived on HeavyRed.com...I love thier makeup looks on that site too, I need to try and recreate some of them...anyways lol...

I actually have 3 of these shadows on my got to have list though- Mating call, Noir plum (I'm a purple fiend! These two together will make an awesome purple eye!), and Ego (I'm lacking a true forrest green in my coll, and Humid is more of a green with a yellow sheen) I agree 100% on Top of the Posh! I do need a nice blendable light pink color, and Prance is my fav nudey color in this coll. Sexpectaions is off my list...I have Last Call by UD, I also have Ruby Red pigment and its pretty close too.....so ya. Dandizette looks a lot like UD goddess,but it has glitter and Dandizette doesnt so it's still a maybe. And the teal lover is making Odalisque VERY hard to pass up...but your right...I really dont need another teal..but its so pretty! LOL
